Kara Hockley captured the dreamiest part of Nicholas and Taylor’s wedding day. As the pair stood on the edge of Kootenay Lake for their first look, they shared their intimate vows in a moment they will remember forever. Straight from a Nicholas Sparks novel, the two spent a sweet summer together at 16 and found themselves back in each other’s arms eight years later. Soft touches of navy, blush and gold, along with the bride’s captivating Made with Love gown, set the bohemian tone for the special day. “Drunk in love,” read the little bottle of La Marca prosecco that adorned each guest’s seat. Truly a day to remember, the new Mr. and Mrs. said their “I dos” and danced under the stars as they started their very own forever.

This was Kelsey and Greg’s wedding day, situated on the Whyte Museum Grounds of the Canadian Rockies in beautiful Banff, AB. Tall trees cascaded behind the couple as they said their “I dos” in front of those closest to them. The pair wanted to showcase the breathtaking beauty of the Rocky Mountains, a place that they have loved visiting throughout their relationship. Kelsey and Greg always dreamt of dancing the night away with their guests in the shadows of the mountains under the stars. Now, the Rocky Mountains will hold an even more special place in their hearts as it holds memories of their most perfect day.

“We really tried to make the day as relaxing and enjoyable as possible for ourselves as well as our guests. We worked hard to streamline the day so that we got to spend as much time as possible with each other and our guests.”
FROM THIS MOMENT ON The couple’s first look was the most memorable of the day. Greg remembers standing amongst the trees with his back towards Kelsey. As she walked up behind him, a strange silence fell over everything. Greg couldn’t help but cry as he heard the approaching footsteps of his soon-to-be wife. The moment personified all of the love, happiness and joy that would exude from their special day.

Elizabeth and Daniel’s story began at the Royal Mayfair Golf Course in May 2015. What started out as a simple round of golf turned into a picturesque fairytale. The couple’s new chapter began where everything first started, on a golf course, followed by some celebratory margaritas. Their Rocky Mountain wedding came together beautifully, rooted in the Columbia Valley, with the help of Mountain Bride planner Lisa Grosso. The soaring mountainscape and dainty details set the stage for the perfect alpine wedding. Guests danced the night away under the moonlit sky at the Fairmont Hot Springs Resort, and capped the night off with his and hers chocolates of salted caramel and orange flavours.
