As the leaves fall and the snow begins to settle across the breathtaking landscapes of British Columbia and Alberta, love takes on a deeper, more radiant hue. There’s something undeniably magical about a wedding wrapped in the quiet elegance of winter, from candlelit ceremonies and snowdusted portraits to cozy receptions glowing with warmth and intimacy. It is by far my favourite time of the year, and results in some of the most unique and special weddings that come across my desk.

In this sixth edition of our Fall & Winter Canadian publication, we are able to celebrate the seasons that make our country shine. You’ll find real weddings that bravely embraced the chillier months and turned it into beauty, engagements with frozen lakes as backdrops and editorials that explore deep seasonal colour stories.

Whether you’re planning a celebration in the Rockies or a candlelit affair in the heart of the city, this issue is here to inspire, guide and celebrate your unique love story. As we turn the page to a season of togetherness, reflection and wonder, I hope you find warmth in these pages and endless ideas for crafting your own love story, no matter how frosty the forecast.

Alex & Ian

Alex and Ian’s love story is straight out of a real-life Disney fairytale. In 2015, Alex moved to Florida to work for Disney and quickly fell in love with everything about her job. After transferring colleges to stay full time, fate (and a dating app) brought Ian into the equation. Though it took a few years and plenty of persistence from Ian, Alex finally gave him a chance. Three years later, Ian brought Alex back to Saint Augustine, Florida, the charming coastal town where he had first asked her to be his girlfriend. Disguised as a trip for a baby christening, the day quickly turned magical. As they wandered the streets “looking for friends,” Ian dropped to one knee with a hidden photographer capturing the moment. A horse-drawn carriage soon pulled up, complete with a congratulatory sign, and whisked them away for an afternoon of surprises including lunch with their closest friends and a party at their bed and breakfast. Prince Charming, a carriage and a happily ever after. What more could you ask for?

ADVICE TO FUTURE COUPLES

“Do whatever feels like YOU! And if possible, pay for your own wedding so you can have full control and do crazy things like have a murder mystery at your rehearsal dinner!”

Alex and Ian planned a dark and romantic wedding day at the Fairmont Banff Springs, with just 55 guests in attendance. The venue was a true reflection of their personalities, blending Ian’s love of nature with Alex’s fascination for all things dark and spooky. For their wedding looks, Ian wore a custom white suit from Suitsupply paired with black velvet Christian Louboutin loafers, the perfect blend of timeless and bold. Alex chose a customized gown from Galia Lahav, complete with a matching veil and Jimmy Choo heels. Later in the evening, she changed into a floor-length black mermaid gown by Maggie Sottero, embracing the moody elegance that defined the day.

VENDORS THAT WENT ABOVE AND BEYOND

Royal Stationery and Design. I got really creative and she was able to work with my craziness and really thought outside of the box with me to create signage and details at every event that aligned with what we wanted.

The ceremony took place on a terrace overlooking the dramatic peaks of Banff, framed by a vibrant floral installation by Flowers by Janie, of crimson roses, deep anthurium and moody burgundy blooms. The rich colour palette of red, black and gold carried into the reception space, where, under gothic chandeliers and towering stained glass windows, guests found their seats at round tables draped in velvet linens and topped with candlelight and dramatic floral arrangements. As the night unfolded, inflatable pink ponies were passed around while everyone danced and sang along to “Pink Pony Club” by Chappell Roan on the checkerboard dance floor, creating a playful finale to an otherwise hauntingly romantic celebration.

Parker and Eduard were introduced through mutual friends. “What started as casual hangouts soon grew into a meaningful connection, and we quickly realized we had found something truly special in each other,” shared Eduard. After spending a little over three years together, the couple planned a vacation to Playa Del Carmen, Mexico, one of their favourite getaway destinations. One afternoon, Parker got down on one knee in the sun-drenched sand and proposed. Though Eduard had a feeling the moment was coming, the timing, and the Cartier ring he’d been dreaming of, still took his breath away.

CHRISTINA + ERIC

Christina and Eric met back in their university days. A chance meeting quickly turned into something lasting. Four years later, while snowshoeing through the snowy trails of Sun Peaks Resort during the Christmas holidays, Eric got down on one knee and asked Christina to be his forever. Christina’s ring is a timeless stunner from Brilliant Earth, a delicate gold band that holds a sparkling oval-cut diamond, catching the light with every movement. For their engagement session, the couple chose to embrace the beauty of their future wedding location, Chilliwack. With their photographer Capri Kimberly’s help, they discovered a dreamy meadow just off Chilliwack Lake Road, where wildflowers and mountain views created the perfect backdrop to capture their love story.

LAKE LOUISE

NICOLE + LAJ

Nicole and Laj’s families had been friends for over a decade; however, the timing was never in their favour as they always had been in relationships with other people. But one day, everything shifted, and “we wrote a new chapter in the book,” Nicole shared. After a year of dating, Laj planned the perfect proposal at the edge of the breathtaking Lake Louise. “He told me to look out at the pretty view over the lake, and then dropped to one knee, and I blacked out,” Nicole laughed. “It was literally perfect. I wouldn’t change a thing!” Their photographer, Joanna, was quietly capturing the moment from behind, and Nicole had no idea she was even there.

ASHLEY + WILLIAM

Ashley and William’s love story began with a swipe when they matched on the dating app Bumble. “Honestly, we were both a little skeptical about dating apps at the time,” Ashley admitted, “so we weren’t thinking it would lead to anything real!” Their first trip as a couple was a ski getaway to Banff, and it turned out to be unforgettable. “I distinctly remember getting off the gondola, turning to William, and saying, ‘If you’re ever going to propose, please do it here in Banff.’” Fast forward four years and William did just that. During another ski trip to the same mountain town, he secretly coordinated with their photographer, Steven, to pop the question during a shoot at Lake Minnewanka.

“Steven began the session with a few couple’s photos. Little did I know, William and Steven had secretly arranged a code word for the proposal,” Ashley shared. “His signal to Steven was, ‘Do you see the moose over there?’ Naturally, I turned around to look, and that’s when William proposed!”

REAL WEDDINGS

Kirsty & Tom

Kirsty and Tom first met during their freshman year at university in Birmingham, United Kingdom. It wasn’t love at first sight, in fact, Kirsty initially turned down Tom’s attempts to chat multiple times. It wasn’t until a Halloween night out with mutual friends that the two finally connected, beginning a love story that would span more than a decade. Fast forward ten years later, while beach hopping on a trip to Tofino, Tom led Kirsty out to a quiet stretch of Chesterman Beach and proposed, catching her completely by surprise. Laughing and shaking, Kirsty said “Yes!”, and the two spent the rest of the trip celebrating.

Kirsty and Tom planned a contemporary, retro-inspired wedding for 60 guests. Surrounded by towering evergreens in the Callaghan Valley, they chose a bold colour palette to pop against the forest scenery. FLEURESCENT designed striking floral pillars in warm, sunset-inspired hues for the ceremony arch. Kirsty turned heads in not one, but two stunning Jenny Yoo gowns, each incorporating delicate pearl accents, a playful nod to her nickname “pearly queen.” After exchanging vows, guests were treated to a towering Aperol Spritz display during the lively cocktail hour, followed by a barn reception brimming with energetic details including glitzy disco balls and personalized acrylic gondolas.

ADVICE TO FUTURE COUPLES

“Stay true to your vision and remember at the end of the day it’s a day to celebrate you two and not anyone else.”

KEATS ISLAND - BARNABAS LANDING

Beryl & Kevin

Beryl and Kevin met through a work-from-home trip in Los Angeles, California, planned by their mutual friends. Kevin happened to be visiting his family in Orange County and stopped by Beryl’s Airbnb for a short weekend, and the two quickly hit it off. After dating for just over two years, Kevin got down on one knee at the iconic Fushimi Inari Torii gates in Kyoto, Japan. When it came time to plan their wedding, the couple envisioned a destination celebration without long-haul flights, something which captured the essence of the Pacific Northwest. Barnabas Landing, with its natural beauty and intimate setting, offered the perfe ct backdrop for a gathering with 150 of their closest friends and family. To kick off the party, guests were sorted into one of four custom-themed houses inspired by Harry Potter, each featuring its own mascot banner. At Friday night’s welcome dinner, everyone dressed in their house colours while enjoying Beryl-and-Kevin trivia along with fun rounds of flip cup and beer pong. This unique evening set the stage for the playful Quatro-Wizarding Tournament, a weekend filled with creative challenges, adventures and friendly competition.

VENDORS THAT WENT ABOVE AND BEYOND

Our wedding planner, Elle, and her team went above and beyond to handle a really complicated wedding where everything had to be self-contained on the island.

Barnabas Landing's team was an absolute pleasure to work with to host the wedding. It was really important for us to have a great DJ and a lively dance party after dinner. Our DJ, Chris Clouse, was amazing!

For the ceremony, Écorce Flowers designed a romantic garden scene overlooking the harbor and mountains, featuring a colour palette of peach, tangerine, blush and soft ivory. As friends and family took their seats, they were greeted with refreshing flutes of champagne and parasols to shade them from the afternoon sun. Beryl stunned in a modern gown with a crosshatch motif by Liz Martinez, paired with delicate lace kitten heels, while Kevin donned a classic dark blue tux from Suitsupply. After becoming husband and wife, guests, dressed in colourful garden-party attire, mingled around lounge areas styled with a fresh, contemporary twist. They sipped handcrafted cocktails from the Eucalyptus Cocktails Boler Bar and nibbled on light, curated hors d’oeuvres. As the sun dipped below the horizon, Beryl slipped into a pleated A.L.C. gown with a halter neckline for a lively dance party after dinner complete with DJ Chris Clouse spinning tracks while also playing the electric violin and electric guitar.

ADVICE TO FUTURE COUPLES

Rebecca & Nikolas

While Rebecca and Nikolas attended the same junior high and high school, the two never talked until a decade later. Nikolas came across Rebecca’s profile on a dating app, tracked her down on social media and asked her out. “We met up that evening and have been together ever since!” Rebecca said. Four years later, Nikolas planned an intimate proposal at their home. As Rebecca pulled into the driveway after work, Nikolas greeted her at the garage and led her inside, where the first floor was completely transformed with candles, flowers and photos of their time together. “He even had our cat and dog in bowties for the occasion which was my favourite part!” Rebecca shared. In the midst of it all, Nikolas got down on one knee and asked Rebecca to marry him.

VENDORS THAT WENT ABOVE AND BEYOND

We'd like to give the biggest shout out and thanks to our photographer, Jackie! She made us feel so comfortable, her ability to capture all the special moments in between really showcases her true talent and art. We knew photos were going to be the only thing we were able to take away from our day, and Jackie exceeded every expectation, we cherish our photos and love looking back on our day.

Rebecca and Nikolas hosted a romantic and understated wedding at a private estate just outside of Calgary, surrounded by 125 of their closest family and friends. The ceremony was lined with clouds of soft white baby’s breath. Rebecca wore a timeless Katherine Tash gown from Blush & Raven, while Nik looked sharp in a custom pinstripe suit from The Kingly. After a champagne toast with their immediate family, Rebecca’s grandma came over to the newlyweds and said, “This moment, remember this feeling you have for each other and the love you have and look back on it as often as you need to.” Later in the evening, Rebecca changed into a playful mini dress paired with her mother’s vintage veil, ready to hit the dance floor. A towering cake featuring an heirloom topper and a lively poutine-fueled late-night party brought the evening to an unforgettable close.

Cydnee & Alex
EDMONTON - FAIRMONT HOTEL MACDONALD

Cydnee and Alex met long before they began dating. Alex was one of her brother’s best friends, and the two had known each other for years. However, it wasn’t until Thanksgiving of 2020, during a visit home, that sparks flew. “We started messaging and the rest is kind of history,” Cydnee shared. After two years of dating, Alex planned a romantic New Year’s Day proposal in North Vancouver. Following a beautiful lunch for two at a waterfront restaurant, he led Cydnee to the end of a scenic pier. “Alex got down on one knee and popped the question! It was golden hour, and Alex had arranged a photographer to capture it all,” she recalled. Their families were waiting to celebrate, and the evening ended with champagne and dinner at a gorgeous restaurant.

VENDORS THAT WENT ABOVE AND BEYOND

We have shout out awards to give to all of our vendors, truly. With needing to relocate and replan, our vendors went above and beyond in every single way. Our wedding coordination team was based out of Jasper, and they were evacuated. Amidst their own lives being uprooted they continued to deliver in every way.

Jordan with Jasper Event Management truly just took everything over and worked to communicate with all of our vendors in regards to the relocation and making sure everything was organized and he nailed down every detail. He instantly worked to rectify any hurdles, he was truly just incredible.

Brett, our day of coordinator, was such a pillar part of our day running smoothly, he was so supportive and patient with us during the rehearsal and wedding day and made sure our day ran smoothly. We felt beyond cared for and taken care of by the both of them.

Cory Christopher and his team hustled in every sense to deliver our dream day with the same intimate, warm and personal touches that we had hoped for. Then again with Cory stepping up to be our wedding officiant was the icing on the cake. Cory became like family to us through this process, so for him to volunteer to do that for us was so selfless and thoughtful.

Tyra E Photography & Film and her team absolutely hustled the day of, capturing 13 hours of content. They are true talents of their craft, the moments captured, the photos edited, the films created left us speechless. Not often do photo and film do the real life experience justice, but they truly did just that.

Wild Orchid Salon was also based out of Jasper. Nadia, the salon owner communicated with me countless times with her plan to still support our hair and makeup needs without question. She recruited the incredible makeup team from Icon Brides and arranged for her team to be there for us to do our hair. I felt so taken care of by her and her team. She also called to check in with me and provided a beautiful shoulder to lean on.

It is also worth giving honourable mention to our original wedding liaison at the Fairmont Jasper Park Lodge -Jayde. Along with also being displaced from her home, Jayde was a pillar piece of our relocation within the Fairmont to the Hotel Macdonald. She continued to fulfill her role with such professionalism and grace and worked tirelessly to help us and countless other couples relocate.

Cydnee and Alex planned an intimate wedding that embraced the cozy, nostalgic feeling of fall. Although their wedding planning journey took an unexpected turn due to the devastating wildfires in Jasper, forcing them to leave behind their original venue and mountain wedding vision, they never lost sight of what mattered most. “Through the support of our families, loved ones and our absolutely incredible vendor teams we came to the conclusion to relocate,” Cydnee shared. “At the time, our option was to the Fairmont Macdonald in Edmonton,” a venue that ultimately became the perfect backdrop for their heartfelt celebration.

Personal touches were sprinkled thoughtfully throughout the day, starting with Cydnee’s choice of a timeless gown and pearl-accented heels. But it was Alex’s custom black velvet suit that stole the spotlight, complete with his name stitched on the inside, their wedding date sewn under the collar and a tender tribute reading “Love Mama” over his heart in memory of his late mother. The ceremony took place on the Empire Ballroom Terrace, where the couple said their vows with a meaningful twist. Their lead designer, Cory, stepped in to officiate, bringing their relationship full circle. Inside, the reception design was a warm and romantic blend of draped ivory fabric, suspended greenery and tablescapes overflowing with florals in blush, terracotta and soft caramel. Guests sipped signature cocktails, indulged in late-night poutine and visited the Fortune Writer, who typed out personalized notes of wisdom on a vintage typewriter, leaving everyone keepsakes.

“We really just encourage future couples to do what means the most to you and your partner. We know more than anyone that this can be a lot easier said than done. But, the advice really rings true about the day being about the couple and that is why everyone is there. The process can be overwhelming, and access to social media and wedding inspiration can be overwhelming, but stay true to what you and your partner have dreamed up for yourselves.”

Danielle & Amir
LAKE COUNTRY - 99 ROWS VENUE AND VINE

Danielle and Amir buzzed into one another’s lives through the dating app, Bumble. When Danielle messaged Amir, he replied, “You had me at hello… and that Canon 5D Mark iii,” referencing the camera she held in her profile photo. With a mutual love for photography, their early dates were filled with light-chasing and shutter clicks. Eight years later, Amir planned the ultimate adventure proposal. He chartered a private helicopter to whisk them away to Roche Miette in Jasper, where he asked Danielle to spend forever exploring life by his side; forever his honey, you could say.

Having moved out west from Toronto five years earlier, the couple wanted their ceremony to reflect the story they’ve built together. At the center of it all was their beloved dog, Toby, adopted two years prior, whose joyful spirit was as much a part of the celebration as it is of their life together. Free to roam the ceremony space, Toby stood proudly on a Persian rug passed down from Amir’s parents, brought with them when they emigrated from Iran over thirty years ago. Set inside the greenhouse at 99 Rows with vineyards and mountains visible through the floor-to-ceiling windows, the couple said their vows surrounded by golden light and fall-toned florals. As the ceremony began, musician, Joshua Smith, serenaded them with Above & Beyond’s “We’re All We Need.”

We couldn’t imagine the day without Josh, our musician, Mike, our officiant, Tim, the videographer, Royce, our photographer and Nikki, our planner. It was such an intimate day and they were such a special part of it.

ADVICE TO FUTURE COUPLES

“Stay true to your story. This is the start of another chapter in it, and it’s yours to write.”

After the beautiful ceremony concluded, the newlyweds set off toward their helicopter ride to Pinnacle Peak, their floral arch tucked in the backseat to preserve later and 1960s music playing through the speakers. To cap off the night, a private chef cooked them dinner in their home paired with wine from Martin’s Lane and Cedar Creek and a coconut cake from Cocktails & Canapés.

WHISTLER - CHRISTINE ' S ON BLACKCOMB

Alina & Ashot

Alina and Ashot met through mutual friends who introduced them one night after work, and their connection was instant. After 17 months together, Ashot proposed in spectacular fashion, dropping to one knee as fireworks lit up the sky from the 40th floor of the Shangri-La in Dubai, United Arab Emirates on New Year’s Eve. The two always knew they wanted an intimate wedding, just the two of them. Dressed in matching winter white, Alina and Ashot took a gondola to the top of Whistler Mountain, where they said “I do” on a balcony with sweeping 360-degree views of the snow-covered valley. Afterward, they celebrated with dinner at HY Steakhouse before strolling back through the ski resort village, where strangers quickly became friends. They ended the night sharing drinks, dancing and partying with fellow mountain lovers who cheered them on every step of the way.

CANMORE - MOUNT ENGADINE

Madison & Matthew

“We always say we waited our entire lives to meet the old fashioned way, on Hinge!” Madison jokes. But, the two truly believed that fate had a hand in their meeting. The couple saw signs everywhere that they were destined for each other, from their Dalmatian, Jet, wrapping his leash around them during their first kiss, to the uncanny connection with a song from the band High Valley. After just one year of dating, Matthew knew she was the one and planned a romantic proposal in their favourite place, Canmore. On a quiet Sunday, Madison, Matthew and their Dalmatian, followed their usual routine with a visit to the off-leash dog park, a stroll along the river path and a stop at Where the Buffalo Roam Saloon. But this time, something was different. Matthew led Madison off the main path toward a familiar trail and asked her to turn toward the mountains for a photo . When she turned back around, he was down on one knee holding a ring. They celebrated with champagne and FaceTime calls before heading to The Malcolm Hotel’s dog-friendly suite, where rose petals covered the bed and Jet curled up beside them.

Madison and Matthew hosted an intimate winter wedding with just 33 guests, a family-style elopement as Madison says. The couple chose a chapel just steps away from Where the Buffalo Roam, a nod to the many times they had sat across the street dreaming of running over to get married. Every guest wore black in keeping with the timeless and elegant aesthetic. Jet made an appearance, of course, and family played a starring role throughout the day, from their nieces handing out Haribo gummy bears down the aisle to a surprise twist during the ceremony: the rings were hidden in little felt Tiffany & Co. bags tucked inside hymn books. When prompted, guests checked their books revealing the groom’s Grandma Nadine and the bride’s Uncle Tom as the unexpected ring bearers.

VENDORS THAT WENT ABOVE AND BEYOND

Sofia Fosado Design is a dear friend, and wedding design extraordinaire! She went above and beyond to make sure the Lodge was set up just as we had envisioned before we arrived putting welcome bags in everyone's room, designing the table and arranging little surprises reflecting our love around the venue.

Mount Engadine Lodge was the PERFECT wedding venue for us. They took care of every detail and before our stay was through everyone felt connected to the staff on site! Mel and Ryan did everything to make sure everyone had an unforgettable experience.

After the ceremony, the newlyweds drove the snowy mountain roads with a “Just Married” sign on the back of their car and cans clanking behind them, their families honking in celebration the entire way to Mount Engadine Lodge. The party continued with their first dance during cocktail hour and kicked off two unforgettable days of quality time with their loved ones. Madison’s family’s maple syrup was gifted as favours at each place setting, and Matthew’s Grandpa Ed shared his famous grace before dinner, just a few of many personal details woven into the weekend.

ADVICE TO FUTURE COUPLES

“Really hone in on your why before the planning starts. What do you want your day to feel like? Who do you want to be part of it? What’s truly important to you? How do you want to honour your love? Question things you feel you ‘should’ do, but don’t reflect your love story.”

Megan & Derrick

Megan and Derrick first met through mutual friends, but it wasn’t until a few years later that fate brought them together again during a diving trip in Anilao, Philippines. “We were both there for the weekend, and we ended up spending a lot of time together diving, talking and laughing,” Megan recalls. After four years of dating, during a trip to San Francisco, California, Derrick proposed during a trip to Yosemite National Park. Megan shares, “I still remember that day so clearly. We drove from the city to Yosemite and headed straight to Glacier Point. We actually got a little lost in the park trying to find it, with no phone signal and the sun starting to set. We ended up asking a few people for directions, and thankfully, we made it just in time. The timing couldn’t have been more perfect. The sun was setting, the view was breathtaking, and as we walked closer to the viewpoint, Derrick suddenly got down on one knee. We both cried (happy tears!). It was truly magical.”

Favourite moment of the day

After the ceremony when we went to Peyto Lake for a photo. The trail up had really thick snow, so it was a bit challenging, but we just laughed the whole way up. It was such a fun, carefree moment. When we finally got to the top, it started snowing, which felt like such a beautiful blessing. In many cultures, snow on your wedding day is seen as a good omen, and it made the moment feel even more special.

highlight of the ceremony

Definitely the first look. It was such a special moment, just the two of us, before everything started. We were so excited and emotional, and it felt like the perfect way to kick off the day.

VENDOR THAT WENT ABOVE AND BEYOND

One vendor we’d love to mention is our photographer, Miranda Anderson Photography. She was an absolute joy to work with! From the moment we met her, she made us feel completely at ease. We were a little nervous about being in front of the camera, but she had a way of making everything feel so natural. She gave us gentle direction, which allowed us to just be ourselves and have fun. Her calm, friendly energy helped us relax, and we really enjoyed the entire experience. The photos turned out stunning, and we’re so grateful for how she captured all the beautiful moments of the day.

When it came time to plan their wedding, Megan and Derrick knew they wanted somewhere that felt meaningful to them, and that place was Banff. “There’s just something about the mountains, the fresh air, the stillness. It always takes our breath away,” Megan shares. With Lake Minnewanka serving as the ultimate backdrop, Megan and Derrick said “I do” with just five family members present. Megan wore a custom silk gown by Studio Kariz with a sleek mermaid silhouette and a long, romantic veil for the ceremony. After the ceremony, Megan traded her veil for a soft tulle cape, adding an ethereal and refined elegance to her look. The couple later hiked through the snow to capture portraits at Peyto Lake, where snowflakes began to fall. To end the evening, Megan and Derrick gathered with their guests for an intimate dinner at The Vermillion Room located in the iconic Fairmont Banff Springs.

ADVICE TO FUTURE COUPLES

“Stay true to what feels right for you both. Don’t be afraid to make it personal, and focus on the moments that matter most to you. And remember, things won’t always go exactly as planned, and that’s okay! Embrace the imperfections and enjoy every minute, because in the end, it’s the memories you create together that will last forever.”

NICOLE SARAH PHOTOGRAPHY

Dramadraped in

Planner Jodie Garneau of Thistle & Thorne Weddings teamed up with Sara Rogers Photography to create this stunning editorial that fused minimalism with maximalism. Set against the modern, industrial backdrop of La Fabrique St-George in Vancouver, the shoot embraced stark contrasts and layered textures. A timeless black and white palette was brought to life through flowing drapery, bold silhouettes and vivid pops of red and pastel blue. From the movement of sheer fabric to striking design choices, every element was chosen to balance softness with strength.

The bride, styled with high fashion in mind, wore a structured strapless gown from FLOURE, paired with a two-tier veil by Jane Rhyan The Collection and sleek Amina Muaddi heels. Her bouquet, a sculptural mix of Mokara orchids, amaranth, ranunculus and delphinium, was both bold and whimsical, bursting with unexpected texture and colour. Meanwhile, the groom’s classic black tux provided a crisp contrast to the ceremony setup.

Menus by Unadorned Stationery introduced bold typography and sharp design, perfectly complementing the rest of the tablescape. The sweetheart table was framed in candlelight and dramatic florals by De La Flore, overflowing with red Naomi roses, hydrangeas, anthuriums, Spanish moss and unexpected accents like dried chili peppers and cranberries. The result was a romantic yet editorial aesthetic that felt both elevated and fresh.

A head-turning multi-tiered cake by The Cake & The Giraffe mirrored the draped movement seen throughout the shoot. With smooth and ribbed texture fondant, the draped folds mimicked silk in motion and soft bow detailing. The cake stood beside the champagne tower as both centerpiece and sculpture; decadent, dimensional and undeniably unforgettable.

After the ceremony, the bride slipped into a playful white cocktail dress by Jenny Yoo featuring voluminous ruffled sleeves. It was the perfect look for mingling beside the oneof-a-kind champagne tower accessorized with cherries that doubled as a seating chart. Raw silk bows were handmade by Unadorned Stationey with each guest’s name and table number, cascading from coupe glasses for a personalized, fashion-forward moment.

Intentional Planning for Meaningful Celebrations

Heartfelt Approach | Organic Designs | Flawless Execution
Jasmine Jones Photography

WHERE EARTH MEETS ELEGANCE

Inspired by the natural beauty of mushrooms, wedding planner Fiore Fine Events, dreamt up this grounded yet elevated design. The intention was to create an aesthetic that felt earthy and artfully undone, anchored in organic textures with a romantic edge. The Gem Event Centre’s loft-style venue, with its soaring ceilings, full-glass façade and breathtaking views of the Rocky Mountains, offered the perfect canvas to bring that vision to life. A modern and organic invitation suite by Seeking Light Studio hinted at the rich tones and layered depth that would unfold throughout the celebration.

THE BRIDE

The bride was styled in the ‘Jules’ gown by Katherine Tash, sourced from Blush & Raven. The figure-skimming silhouette was crafted from soft silk satin crepe, featuring long sleeves, an asymmetrical neckline and a high leg opening. Designed to feel as if it had gently slipped off the shoulder, the gown’s delicate draping and side button closure created graceful movement. A wispy lace veil from Untamed Petals and dainty accessories from Blessings Bridal Accessories brought in a little romance, while pointed-toe heels by Bella Belle Shoes gave the look a contemporary edge.

THE GROOM

The groom was fitted in a classic black tuxedo from The Bridal Centre, complete with a sharp bow tie for a touch of timeless charm. A well-tailored tux is an undeniable choice; elegant, refined and effortlessly versatile. No matter the setting or bridal look, it ensures the groom looks sharp and sophisticated. In this case, the sleek ensemble offered the perfect contrast to the bride’s soft, romantic styling, proving that a classic will never go out of style.

THE CERE,MONY

Set on the main loft level, the ceremony took place inside The Gem’s glass-front space.

Rather than a traditional straight aisle, the team opted for an artistic, staggered seating arrangement that created an immersive path for the bride and groom to walk through.

On either side, organic floral clusters of hellebore, lisianthus, phlox, hydrangea, roses and even fresh blackberries and mushrooms formed beautiful, untamed pillars, adding a wild, textural element to the clean, modern space. As the newlyweds made their exit, guests showered them with rose petals, a moment that felt cinematic.

THE TABLE

For the reception, four tables were arranged to form a striking open rectangle, creating an intentional layout that fostered connection and conversation. At the center, a lush floral meadow overflowed with moss, sweet peas, phlox, spray roses, spirea and lisianthus. The design mimicked a natural garden bed, blooming organically between guests. Airy clusters of blooms added texture and movement to the earthy base, while subtle touches of burgundy hinted at the richness of winter. Taper candles and petite table lamps cast a warm, intimate glow, enhancing the mood and inviting guests to linger long into the evening.

Guests were invited to find their seats with an art gallery inspired seating chart backed with vintage floral artwork. For a sweet ending, Black Dog Bakery crafted a showstopping cake infused with raspberry, rose and rhubarb. Each layer was bursting with tart and floral notes. Its Lambeth-style buttercream piping nodded to Old Hollywood glamour, while a champagne tower added celebratory sparkle. The combination paired beautifully with the shoot’s modern-vintage aesthetic.
