The Jasper Park Information Centre is located at 500 Connaught Dr. National Parks Passes can be purchased here.

WILDLIFE

Wildlife like bears, elk, sheep, and moose are often seen in Jasper. Keep your distance, never feed or approach animals, and follow Parks Canada guidelines to stay safe and protect wildlife.

PARK PASS

A National Park Pass is required when entering a national park in Canada. If you have booked a package with us, your parks pass may already be included in your travel documents.

Due to high visitor numbers, we highly recommend making dinner reservations in advance of travel, with the exception of rail travel days, as Rocky Mountaineer is occasionally subject to unforeseen delays, and arrival times cannot be guaranteed.

20 Icefields Parkway – Widely considered one of the most beautiful drives in the world, this 232 km scenic route weaves through the Rockies and connects Jasper to Banff National Park. Take a road trip and experience it for yourself.

Gift shops and boutiques line Jasper’s main road, Connaught Dr. Here you’ll find handcrafted jewelry, unique keepsakes, mountain-inspired fashion, and classic Canadian treats.

TRANSPORTATION

Explore Jasper at your leisure with several options for getting around the region.

Jasper Transit – A 24-person shuttle bus connects multiple stops in Jasper National Park, including the town of Jasper, Pyramid Lake Lodge, Jasper Park Lodge, and Lake Annette. Visit jasper-alberta.ca/p/transit for details.

Car Rentals – Car rentals are available in Jasper. We recommend reserving car rentals in advance (especially if you plan to explore more of Jasper National Park) as vehicles can be in high demand.

Airport Transfers – The nearest airport is Edmonton International Airport (YEG), approximately a four-hour drive from Jasper. Transfers are available from SunDog Tours. Reservations are required.
