Anderson Japanese Gardens now open for the season: Anderson Japanese Gardens 2024 opened for the season April 19. The spring opening brings a display of fresh spring blooms and colors, new programming, and the return of popular Anderson Gardens events, including the summertime music series, Tuesday Evening in the Gardens. Each year, close to 100,000 guests experience the renowned Japanese gardens along with its community events, and cultural and wellness programming. Anderson Japanese Gardens will operate regular business hours, seven days per week. Onsite amenities include free parking, daily breakfast and lunch service at Fresco at the Gardens restaurant, gift shop, and handicap accessible garden path options. Anderson Japanese Gardens has been recognized as one of the highest quality Japanese gardens in North America by Sukiya Living Magazine. The 12-acre landscape located in Rockford, Illinois, leads guests through the Japanese garden essential elements of stone, landscape, and water. Master craftsmanship and 16th-century traditional architecture is found throughout the Garden.
