Dear Members and Guests,

We’re pleased to share some exciting updates as we transition into the fall season!

We’re happy to announce that our fairways have reopened, and it feels great to be an 18-hole golf course once again. We are committed to continuous improvements, with extensive maintenance planned across the course to ensure the best possible experience for our golfers.

We’ve listened to your feedback, and we’re excited to announce that we will be open on Mondays throughout the season. This provides you with even more opportunities to enjoy our course. Our snack bar will also be open on Mondays, with specific hours to be announced soon, so keep an eye out for those details.

As we continue to invest in our facilities, there will be a slight increase in golf membership fees. We understand that every golfer has unique needs, and we’re here to help you find the best value for your level of commitment. If you have any questions or need assistance in choosing the right membership option, please reach out to Matt, your Golf Professional. He’s ready to help you find the perfect fit.

We have an exciting fall season planned, with events and activities that will take full advantage of our golf course, event venue, and pickleball courts. We look forward to seeing you at the club and sharing in the excitement.

Thank you for your continued support of Rockledge Country Club. Let’s make this fall season the best one yet!

This month will bring a lot of activity to the course maintenance department. For starters, a wall-to-wall fertilization will take place on September 16th. We will also be performing our last greens aerification (weather permitting) on that same day. Once again, the holes will be small, and the impact will be minor with a quick recovery. The course will be closed all day for these procedures.

Fairway aerification is beginning now and will be conducted as time permits for the next couple weeks. This is a very important cultural practice that helps alleviate compaction and create avenues for water and nutrients to enter the root zone. We have a couple more good growing months remaining this year, so we want to take advantage of that to prepare the turf for the cool season ahead.

I hope everyone has noticed the removal of most weeds on the course. This does leave some bare areas that need to grow in. We are moving our normally scheduled October fertilization to September to facilitate the growth needed for recovery before the cool months arrive. In addition, we have one more spray application in October that will include a weed preemergent.

Some of the greens have experienced severe fairy ring fungus this summer. We have treated them and the mushrooms seem to have slowed their growth. We will be performing another application soon to keep this pest at bay. It is

What an amazing holiday weekend we had at RCC. Thanks to all of our Members and Guests for packing the course last week. We had many players take advantage of the extra days off by getting in some golf. We also enjoyed our largest attendance of a Saturday shootout in 6 months, and we finished the weekend with a sold out Labor Day scramble and cookout. We also welcomed several new Gold Members to the club this week who we would like to welcome.

I want to congratulate our 2024 men’s interclub team for completing an epic comeback on the final day of play to help us retain our cup for the 5th year in a row! Special thanks to our team captain Matt Stevanus for his time and effort in helping to organize our squad, great playing guys!

September brings many new programs to the club, including our operation 36 instructional programs, along with our new Monday evening ladies league. Our Operation 36 program will have a series for Ladies and for Juniors. This is one of the top programs nationwide in learning and advancing in the game of golf. The 8 week programs will kick off the last week in September, the Ladies will have their sessions on Wednesday evenings, with the Juniors on Tuesday evenings.

Our new Ladies 9 hole league will start on Monday September 9th, tee off each week is at 4:00PM, players of all skill levels are welcome to join. In the golf shop, we will be receiving a new line of Footjoy men’s apparel coming in mid September, this is a great looking line and some styles we have not carried before. Early October we will receive our Nike apparel for both Men and Women, along with some shoes. We also just received a new line of logo headwear, these hats are moving off the shelf quickly, make sure and stop in to check out these new styles and grab one.

Thanks to everyone for your continued support of all of our golf programs.
