I hope this newsletter finds you well and enjoying the beautiful September weather at Rockledge Country Club I wanted to provide you with an update on the ongoing renovations at our beloved club

Firstly, I want to express my deep appreciation to our staff for working with me through all the change as we transform our clubhouse into a more modern and inviting space. We are currently in the process of painting the building, installing new flooring, and preparing to start the much-needed roof replacement. These renovations were necessary as the clubhouse was in desperate need of a facelift, and we are committed to providing you with the best facilities possible.
While the renovations may cause some temporary inconvenience, we are grateful for your patience and understanding during this time Our staff is working tirelessly to minimize any disruptions to your club experience, and we are confident that the end result will be well worth it.
In addition to the clubhouse renovations, I am pleased to announce that we are always striving to improve your golf course experience. Our dedicated grounds crew have been working diligently to maintain and enhance the course, ensuring that it remains in top-notch condition We are constantly evaluating and implementing improvements to provide you with the best playing conditions possible
Lastly, mark your calendars for “Prime Rib Night at The Club”! We will be hosting our prime rib dinner on September 22nd. This is the perfect opportunity to gather with fellow members and indulge in a delicious meal.
As a semi-private club, we strive to provide you with the feel of a private club experience while also offering the benefits of a vibrant and inclusive community We value each and every one of our members, and we are dedicated to protecting the value of your round here at the Rock We are committed to maintaining a high level of service and a pace of play that allows you to fully enjoy your time on the course
Thank you for your continued support and understanding as we work through these renovations. If you have any questions or concerns, please do not hesitate to reach out to me or any member of our staff.
Wishing you a wonderful month ahead,
AllMyBest, AndreaBeyel GeneralManagerHi All!
As summer is coming to a close and the temperatures are starting to drop (a little), I am looking forward to a busy Fall and Winter golf season.
Taylor Made Fitting Experience – Saturday September 23rd 10 am – 3 pm
Greens Aerification - our third greens maintenance (aerification) scheduled for Monday October 2nd.
Match Play Championship - will commence the week of October 10th, where Matt Stevanus will begin defense of his title as the 2022 Match Play Champion. The formatting will be like last year’s event (and like the Dell Match Play event on the PGA Tour) in that players will play three (3) matches within their “pod” or group of four players. The player (or players – depending on the number of “pods” with then be seeded into the bracket for bracket play as follows
o Saturday November 11th – Round of 16
o Sunday November 12th – Quarterfinals
o Saturday November 18th – Semi-Finals
o Sunday November 19th – Final Match
Along with the final match, on Sunday November 19th, all participants will be invited to play in an 18th-hole shoot-out with a lunch following to celebrate with the Match Play Champion
o I would like to encourage everyone to participate in this fun event, last year we had 32 participants and this year I have a goal of a full field of 64 players.
Ladies Club Championship – December 2nd & December 3rd
63rd Platinum Coast Invitational – December 9th & 10th
Online registration for each event will be posted on the club website in the coming days.
As many of you may have noticed we have changed the pin flags and added a hole location sheet to each golf cart All flags are now yellow, and the hole location sheet was created taking the following into consideration:
Difficulty of hole placement – each location has been rated either “easy”, “medium” or, “challenging” and throughout the course, for each day, the locations were considered to try and have 6 easy, 6 medium and 6 challenging locations
Traffic Management – along with considering placement and difficulty of location, consideration was also given to traffic patterns to spread the traffic around the green in an effort to alleviate any excessive wear due to holes being located in similar locations from day to day.
While we understand that many of you have either GPS devices or laser range finders, hopefully having a hole location sheet will help you to “attack” more pins and make more birdies
Later this fall we will be updating our scorecards and revisiting some of the hole ratings and stroke allocation. Along with that we will be including the hole location sheet within the new scorecard so that everyone, whether walking or riding, will have a copy of the hole location sheet. To get the daily hole location, stop by the golf shop each day prior to your round, and if you are walking, we do have extra copies of the hole location sheet in the golf shop
A quick thank you to David Treffer for volunteering with our recent Junior Golf Drive, Chip, & Putt Training Event that was held here on Friday August 11th. This was our first event and we had 13 participants with 3-4 participants in each age division This is a great opportunity for junior golfers to “practice” for the National Drive, Chip, & Putt that takes place each year all across the country with the finals being held at August National Golf Club the Sunday before The Masters.
