Welcome to another exciting month at Rockledge Country Club! With February upon us, we are delighted to welcome back our seasonal residents. It’s always a pleasure to see familiar faces returning to enjoy the beautiful Florida weather and all the that our club has to offer.
The Snack Bar is officially back in action! Stop by Friday through Monday from 8:30 AM to 1:00 PM to grab a hot dog, snack, or drink at the turn! Your support is greatly appreciated, and we hope this makes it easier to enjoy a quick bite on the go.
Love is in the air, and we invite you to celebrate in style at our Valentine’s Day Dinner! Enjoy tasty dishes and handcrafted cocktails designed to set the mood for an unforgettable night. Whether you're celebrating with friends or loved ones, this is an event you won’t want to miss! Reservations for dinner are required, secure your table today.
We’re thrilled to announce that our pickleball courts are getting a well-deserved refresh! We have started the process of resurfacing the courts to enhance playability and provide an even better experience for our players. This resurfacing project will be going on in stages, and expected to be completed the beginning of March (weather permitting).

COURSE MAINTENCE UPDATE

It’s good to get back to more normal temperatures finally! These past few weeks have been a little tough on the golf course and the golfers.
We have a mix of different types of Bermuda grasses in our fairways, and they all handle the cooler temperatures a little differently. Bermuda is a warm weather plant and shuts down in cooler weather to protect itself. It will generally keep some green color, but very little growth will occur. If a frost happens, it will go into dormancy and turn a tan color. It is exciting to see that the newly renovated fairways (5,7,10,12) handled the cooler weather very well. The turf remained fairly dense and kept a decent green color.
We recently completed a pre and post emergent application for weed control. This will be ongoing quarterly throughout the year to help create and maintain great turf. In addition, regular fertilizations will happen to enhance the growth and quality of the playing surface. All the drinking coolers, ball washers and tee markers were recently refurbished. Many of the old metal culverts have been replaced as they have begun to rust away over time, and we will continue to address these as they become an issue. Tree trimming and necessary removals will continue throughout the winter season.

PRO SHOP UPDATE
It is great to see us getting into a nice stretch of weather after a cold and cloudy January!
The golf course is entering its busiest time of the season, as we have welcomed back many of our seasonal residents from the north. We are also entering our busy tournament and event season as well, so be sure and double check your tee times the next few months as events may alter times that you are normally accustomed to. We have updated the event calendar on the website so you can keep up to date on anything that is going on, or would like to participate in. If you have any questions or need to adjust any tee times, any golf shop staff member will be more than happy to assist you.
In the golf shop we have received many new products for the month of February. Our Nike gear has arrived, which includes a very nice-looking ladies line along with some waterproof shoes for only $79.00! We also have some cool weather midlayer items and some hoodies for those cool mornings and evenings, along with a new selection of Footjoy shirts arriving in mid-February. For those looking to try out some new equipment, we have a large variety of demo product available from Callaway and Srixon in the golf shop, you are welcome to try any of this equipment at no cost by simply signing it out with the golf shop staff.

On the lesson tee our Ladies Operation 36 group is going strong, with many new ladies taking up the game of golf this season. Our PGA Junior league team filled up quickly and our team is ready to start practices this coming March as they look to defend their local title from last year.
Our Club Championships are coming up this season, please save the dates below if you would like to participate in these historic events:
