From the Desk of A. Beyel

Dear Members, Guests, and Friends,

As we move into December, Rockledge Country Club is filled with the spirit of the season. Our holiday elves have been hard at work, and the clubhouse looks amazing. The decorations, lights, and festive touches throughout the building have brought a wonderful sense of cheer, and we hope everyone enjoys the warm and welcoming atmosphere as much as we do.

We invite you to join us for our Holiday Pop-Up Party on December 20 in The Vue. In addition to the festivities, we will be offering a special Prime Rib Dinner, with reservations available in Santa’s Lounge for those who would like an elevated dining experience that evening. It will be a relaxed and fun night to gather, enjoy the season, and spend time with friends and family. We wish everyone a happy and safe holiday as we move through this special time of year.

This year has been one of accomplishments and steady growth for Rockledge Country Club. We are pleased to host the 65th Platinum Coast Invitational on December 13 & 14. This long-standing tradition continues to be one of the highlights of the season, and we look forward to welcoming everyone for a great weekend of golf. As always, please check with the Pro Shop for course conditions, available play times, and updates on both golf and pickleball throughout the month.

December is traditionally a busy time, and we appreciate everyone’s patience as we navigate seasonal traffic, holiday events, and increased play on the course. The weather has been beautiful, and it’s a wonderful opportunity to enjoy a round of golf or spend time on our practice areas.

All my best, Andrea Beyel, GM

GOLF PRO UPDATE

We are officially in our high season and we couldn’t be more thrilled with the activity on the course and all the new Members coming back for the season. We welcomed several new Annual Silver Members last week, along with several returning snowbirds. We anticipate a very busy season, and with the recent addition of 10 new golf carts and a switch to 9-minute tee time intervals, the club is in a great position to be able to accommodate all of our Members and Guests.

On Wednesday December 10th we are thrilled to be hosting a Holiday Shopping night in the golf shop, which starts at 2:00PM and goes until 7:00PM. You will want to get there early before all of the new merchandise is gone!

We have several brand new items that have just arrived including:

-Travis Mathew logo headwear

-Ahead logo sweatshirt hoodies and Tee shirts

-Travis Mathew Apparel

-Antigua Apparel for Men’s and Ladies

-Nike golf shirts and jackets

We will have sales in the golf shop along with a putting challenge to earn extra discounts. We will also be offering some complimentary drinks and snacks, so be sure to stop in!

On the lesson tee our Ladies Operation 36 program is just finishing up for the season and our PGA Junior league Team has a couple matches to go in the season. After taking the Holiday season off, both programs will be back in action in early 2026. Our next Operation 36 program is set to kick off the first week in February and will be open to all adult golfers regardless of gender and skill level. We have received many requests for a Men’s and Couples option, so this Operation 36 program will be ideal for those players as well.

As the demand for tee times increases for the season, we want to remind everyone of the advance tee time booking options for your Membership category, along with the playing windows that are associated with each Membership. If playing outside of your Membership timeframe, players will need to pay the associate fees based on the day and time.

On the event calendar, you won’t want to miss a couple of upcoming events. The Annual Platinum Coast Invitational is scheduled for December 13th and 14th, this is the last event of the East Coast Amateur Series with players qualifying for the Championship in January. We also have a new event on New Year’s Day, the Red Eye Scramble, this will be a great way to kick off 2026 and will feature Men’s, Women’s, and Mixed Divisions playing a 2 player scramble.

Thanks for your continued support of the golf operations,

COURSE MAINTENANCE UPDATE

The Holiday Season is in full force, and the golf course is ready for all the action! So far, the weather has been very nice to us and hopefully that will continue.

The tee boxes, putting and chipping green areas and the driving range tee have all been overseeded for the winter season. The seed is beginning to germinate and will be cut for the first time in early December. This year is the first time we have overseeded the chipping and putting green surrounds. We are hoping this will enhance the playability and aesthetics of these areas during the winter.

The cart path entrance and exit areas seem to be working out nicely. We still have a few more areas to develop and will continue for the next month or so. These areas are designed to spread the wear by moving the barricades periodically as needed. Hopefully, this will help us maintain turf in areas we normally lose during the winter season. As a golfer you can help by always being aware of where your cart is being driven and trying to avoid worn areas when possible.

Finally, we hope all of you have a great rest of the year, and an even better new year!

Yours in Turf,
