Dear valued guests and members, We hope this newsletter finds you well and enjoying the beautiful autumn season on our golf course and event venue. As we transition into October, we would like to update you on some exciting renovations taking place throughout our clubhouse. Firstly, we are pleased to announce that next week, our clubhouse will receive a brand-new roof. This upgrade will not only enhance the aesthetic appeal of our facility but also ensure a more comfortable and secure environment for all. Additionally, we have begun extensive renovations in our bunkers to ensure that they are in top-notch condition for your golfing pleasure. Our dedicated team is working tirelessly to improve the quality and playability of these areas. In our continuous efforts to provide exceptional service, we have also welcomed new staff members to our team. Our kitchen, maintenance, and cart barn departments have been bolstered with the addition of skilled professionals who are committed to delivering a memorable experience for our guests. With that being said, I would like to disclose to you that our beloved Melinda is out due to a battle she has been quietly fighting for some time. Melinda is fighting cancer and is receiving her second series of chemo. This is hard for me to share, as it is hard to accept, plus Melinda is a very private person. She has given me her blessing to let you all know as it has become apparent that she is not at the clubhouse. At this time, in honor of her privacy, this is as much as I can elaborate. Melinda is not able to take a lot of calls, but if you would like to show support with a card, for example, I can personally make sure she receives it. I ask you all to please lift her in prayer for a full recovery and give her family the strength needed during this time. As for now, the Snack bar situation is in limbo, but you will notice the beverage cart running more often, and the pro shop will help you with anything you need.

Furthermore, concerning the remodel, we understand the importance of creating a serene ambiance at Vue 18, and our exquisite event venue. To achieve this, we will be implementing new flooring and undertaking other necessary renovations to minimize noise levels and elevate your overall experience. As always, we greatly appreciate your patience and understanding during these renovations. We strive to create an exceptional atmosphere, and these updates are essential in maintaining the high standards we set for ourselves. The hope is that we will continue to create a great lunch and happy hour spot while driving revenues with the events as this creates a fiscally stronger opportunity to keep RCC a great value while creating great golfing conditions. Please know that it takes time, but for most the desire to be something greater is still at the forefront of our plans. Hi All! 2023 Men’s Match Play Championship The Men’s Match Play Championship has been rescheduled for January 2024 due to a conflict with the Fall Inter Club Matches that had to be rescheduled to October. 63rd Platinum Coast Invitational The 63rd Platinum Coast Invitational will be contested here at Rockledge Country Club on Saturday December 9th, 2023, and Sunday December 10th, 2023. The Platinum Coast Invitational will be the fourth event (of four) in a new tournament series to “crown” an East Coast Amateur Champion. The four qualifying events are: • Space Coast Amateur at Duran Golf Club | October 21st & 22nd o Register at durangolf.com • St. Lucie County Amateur at Fairwinds Golf Club | November 4th & 5th o Register at fairwindsgolf.com • Treasure Coast Amateur | December 2nd & 3rd o Register at golfsandridge.com • 63rd Platinum Coast Invitational | December 9th & 10th o Register at Rockledgecc.com The divisions and flights at each event are listed below. Participants will earn points based on their finish in each of the events listed above. Inter Club Matches (Florida State Golf Association) The 2024 Inter Club Matches hosted by the Florida State Golf Association will be scheduled again in early 2024. If you have an interest in playing on either the Men’s Inter Club Team or the Ladies Inter Club Team, please let me know. You may contact me at golf@rockledgecc.com. The FSGA’s Interclub season includes a six-week regular season, two rounds of playoffs, and a State Championship held at World Golf Village, Slammer & Squire Course, April 23-24th, 2024. The Interclub Matches are a state-wide competition between clubs. Last year over 200 clubs competed – including both a Men’s and Ladies’ team from Rockledge Country Club. There is a $150 per team entry fee for the Men’s Interclub and a $75 per team entry fee for the Women’s Interclub; there are no greens fees for matches. The most you will pay will be a reasonable agreed upon golf fee. Interclub allows players of a variety of skill levels to get together with friends and enjoy a fun and challenging competition at different courses around the state for a minimal cost. The local matches will be scheduled just after the first of the year and will go for six weeks. Ladies Golf Groups Each week here at Rockledge Country Club we have several days where ladies get together to play golf and they would like for you to join them. While you are more than welcome to play anytime, this group of ladies gets together to play on the following days and the current group sizes can range from four to twelve golfers and they would like you to join them. • Tuesdays at 9:30 am • Thursdays at 8:00 am • Fridays at 9:30 am • Saturdays at 10:20 am Times can fluctuate but we make every effort to try and keep this schedule consistent. You may know some of the ladies who play on these days, and if you don’t, they would love to have you come and join their group. I would be happy to make an introduction, so please do not hesitate to reach out to me.

GOLF COURSE MAINTENANCE
Finally, some cooler weather! It sure feels good, too! We are excited for the fall/winter golf season and the course is in great shape heading into the cooler months. The greens are recovering nicely from the recent aerification, and we are looking forward to nice greens throughout the season. As you may have noticed, we are beginning a bunker renovation project. The practice bunker will be first as to give the players an opportunity to sample the product that will eventually be in all the bunkers. We will be doing this in-house so the project will be spread over a few months time until completion. We are excited to get going and feel this will be a great asset to our facility. Tee box over seeding as well as the driving range tee will happen in early to mid-November. As usual, we will need to throw some water around during the day to help germinate the seeds quicker and to prevent early germinated seeds from drying out. Hope to see you on the course soon!
