I hope this letter finds you well and that you are enjoying our beautiful course as we move into November. This time of year, brings cooler breezes and a spirit of community and celebration. I’m excited to share what we have in store this month, along with a peek at December's festivities.
This Thanksgiving, we invite you to join us for a special buffet filled with all your favorite holiday dishes. It’s a wonderful opportunity to gather with loved ones, share a delicious meal, and let our team take care of the cooking and cleanup Please reserve your table early, as this is one of our most cherished events of the year.

Our pickleball courts have been more active than ever, and it’s been a delight to see so many of you out there enjoying the game.

We’re thrilled to introduce Tagmarshal, a new system designed to enhance your golfing experience. This technology will help maintain the pace of play, ensure the course remains in top condition, and offer new players guidance as they navigate the course. For those interested, Tagmarshal also provides an innovative marketing option to reach our vibrant golfing community.
As we approach the holiday season, don’t forget to mark your calendars for our Breakfast with Santa, a festive treat for families filled with cheer and holiday magic. We’ll also be hosting a PopUp Party, perfect for celebrating the season with friends, good food, and great company.

COURSE MAINTENCE UPDATE

Happy fall everyone! This is a great time of year to be in Florida. Hopefully, all the hurricane noise is behind us and we can look forward to enjoying the outdoors. No better way to do that than to get some golf in!
We did have a mess on our hands after hurricane Milton rolled through. We appreciate all the volunteer help and help received from other departments while we were shut down. We are grateful there wasn’t more damage done and things are pretty much back in order now.
We did get a fertilization done to the entire course, and also sprayed fairways and roughs for weeds. A preemergence was applied to help prevent winter annual weeds from emerging as well. Another application will need to be made in early January.
Overseeding of tee boxes is scheduled for November 11th. Hopefully, we will have a day with light winds to perform this task. After application, water will be applied periodically during the day for about a week or so to aid in quicker germination of the seed.
Please remember to adhere to all cart driving rules this season. Excess traffic creates a weaker turf stand. Also, fill your divots, rake bunkers after use and fix your divots on the greens.

PRO SHOP UPDATE
We are now In-Season in the golf operation, with more and more of our seasonal members and guests arriving back each day. Our events and leagues are in full swing, with our Operation 36 junior and ladies programs coming to an end in mid November Our Monday night ladies group is continuing to grow and we will play all winter long starting at 4:00PM, Members and non Members are both welcome to join and all skill levels are welcome.
Last week we installed our new GPS Systems in the carts, this is an exciting new amenity for us and will not only allow players to easily get yardages and visual graphics but will allow our staff the ability to monitor pace of play efficiently and handle any issues in a timely manner. The carts will also be Geo-Fenced, meaning we are restricting areas to sensitive areas on the course to protect the grass. This is a more modern way of controlling cart traffic rather than using ropes, signage, fences, etc. On your screen you will see red boxed out areas, these are the fenced areas. Right now, you will get an alert buzzer until the cart leaves the area, however within the next month after all of our testing and calibration is complete, the carts will actually shut off if entering this area and you will need to reverse out. We hope you enjoy this exciting new feature; these screens are touch screens and you can press any area on the hole and it will give you a distance to that location.
With the increase in rounds expected this fall, our starters will begin managing carts as well, meaning we will be asking to make sure we have 2 players in carts as they leave the tee box. This is necessary so we can have enough available carts for other members and guests as we enter into the busy season, we thank you in advance for your cooperation with this.
In the golf shop we have another round of Footjoy shirts that just got delivered, these have been very well received. Our Men’s and Ladies Nike gear was delayed a bit, but we are also expecting that shipment the first part of November. We also received a new hat order from Callaway, great looking styles with the RCC logo on the side. For those looking to test out some new equipment, I am finalizing the Fitting/Demo day schedule and will be posting soon Companies that will be here this season include Callaway, Titleist, Taylormade, Srixon, and Mizuno.
