Celebrate Love Under the Open Sky

We're thrilled to announce the opening of our new outdoor wedding venue area, a picturesque setting perfect for saying "I Do." We were honored to celebrate the beautiful wedding of my daughter Shelby, the first bride to walk down our new aisle Congratulations to Shelby and her new husband Tyler on this joyous occasion!

Exciting changes are underway at Rockledge! As part of our commitment to providing an exceptional golfing experience, we are implementing several upgrades to our course:

Driving Range Tee: Starting Monday, March 25th, we will begin the process of renovating the driving range tee with high-quality Tiftuf Bermuda sod This will take place in three stages, with the removal of the existing turf followed by rototilling and laser leveling in mid-May. A temporary tee will be available for about a month during that time, and we aim to reopen the new tee a few weeks after sodding on May 31st.

Fairway Regrassing: Concurrently, fairways 5, 7, 10, and 12 will also be upgraded with Tiftuf Bermuda Unlike the driving range tee, these areas will be sprigged rather than sodded, starting on May 31st. This is part of our ongoing effort to enhance the playability and aesthetics of our course.

We appreciate your patience and understanding as we undertake these improvements. Our goal is to minimize disruption and maximize your enjoyment of the course.

GOLF COURSE MAINTENANCE

Spring is coming upon us quickly, and that means a time for rejuvenation We have some projects lined up for this summer, so let’s dive right in.

The driving range tee will be regrassed with Tiftuf Bermuda sod. The process will begin on March 25th with the removal of the existing turf This will be done in three stages. May 31st will be the day we sod the tee. The mat will be utilized until the middle of May. This is when we will rototill and laser level the tee. A temporary tee will be developed to be used for approximately one month The hope is to reopen the tee within a few weeks of sodding

5,7,10 and 12 fairways will be regrassed with Tiftuf Bermuda on the same day we sod the driving range tee The fairways will be sprigged, not sodded It will take approximately 2 months before we can reopen these holes. We will close them the day of sprigging because water will be applied to them routinely throughout the day, every day, until rooting has been established. Once this happens, less water will be needed daily but still several times a day. We are excited to have a new turf on our fairways. This is the same turf that was used to regrass several of our tee boxes a couple years ago. These four holes (5,7,10,12) were chosen because they are some of the fairways that experience the most turf loss in the winter season An alternative plan will be developed by the golf staff to allow for an 18-hole round. Some holes may be repeated to make 18 holes possible. We certainly appreciate your patience during this process and want you to know everything is being done for the improvement of the golf course.

We would like to take a moment and congratulate Lynn Dufour on capturing the 2024 Ladies Club Championship which was held last month, Lynn retains her parking spot and will have her name etched into the historic trophy once again.

March and April are filled with exciting golf events for our Members and Guests. The Men’s Match play Championship is currently ongoing, and the Men’s Club Championship will be played on Saturday and Sunday March 9-10th

Please note that March 10th as the time changes, the first tee times of the day won’t begin until 7:40AM, so make sure and confirm your groups times Up thru early April until morning daylight comes back to normal. Also, with increased daylight in the evenings, many of our late afternoon seasonal groups will begin to play, please check with the golf shop staff on tee time availability and the best times to get on the course late in the day thru the summer

March 12th also is the first day of our PGA Junior league coming to Rockledge Country Club, a brand-new program that is sold out. You will see a lot of the juniors around the club in their jerseys, we are looking forward to a great season and continuing to grow the next generation of golfers here at RCC

You will also start to see some signage around the club on upcoming product demo days. Callaway, TaylorMade, Titleist, and Srixon are all scheduled to be at the club over the next couple months to demo their new products. Make sure to inquire about the option to trade in your old products when you upgrade to new, we are now offering a new trade in service to help offset the cost of your new clubs!
