It lies close to charming country villages, bustling towns, including historic Arundel (eight miles away) with its restored, 11th century castle, an eclectic mix of urban chic, antique shops and art galleries, Bognor Regis (two miles), Chichester (eight miles) and Littlehampton (six miles), and a stunning landscape that spans the Arun district, which takes its name from the picturesque River Arun that traverses the region. The Felpham community is home to a delightful village centre with an interesting mix of traditional shops, including a post office, bank, butchery, boutique, hairdressing and beauty salons, a florist and chemist. The nearby South Downs National Park is an area of outstanding beauty and, covering an area of over 1,600km2, embraces a glorious landscape that is popular with walkers, cyclists and horse riders. Felpham sits on the A259 that runs along the south coast from nearby Havant to Folkestone in Kent and ensures the village is easily accessible to locations well beyond this southernmost point. London is easily reached in under two hours by road and by rail in around 75 minutes from Bognor Regis’ mainline station to London Victoria. The south’s airports, including Southampton and Gatwick, are both about an hour away.
