Introduction Founded in 1993, Junnell is a niche house builder of superior bespoke-designed homes on pocket sites throughout central south east England. Led by Edward Elliot and Jonathan Bingham, the company focuses on boutique-style developments built to high specifications. Their ethos is to produce homes that exceed the standards of mainstream housing. Edward and Jonathan personally manage every project, spending considerable time on space planning and interior design. A Junnell home is stylish, contemporary, and highly soughtafter. Natural light is maximised with large apertures for glazing, and exteriors are created to enhance the existing street scene. The result is attractive design-led properties with plenty of kerb appeal that make a lasting contribution to their landscape.

In walking distance of the city centre of historic Chichester, just off Westgate, this luxury detached family house was developed and built for a private client. Junnell worked with a local architect and interior designer from the inception of the project while an RHS gold medal winning designer conceived the garden plan for the property. The warming ‘Sussex style’ exterior carefully conceals an ultra contemporary interior. The kitchen is custom-fitted using German design company, Leicht. The house also includes an under stairs wine cellar and state-of-the-art home cinema. A fully glazed oak-framed garden room with stunning roof light looks out over the landscaped garden. Cutting-edge design features and the highest standards of finish combine to make this one of Chichester’s premier homes.

Spinnaker Place, Emsworth THREE TOWN HOUSES

Three award-winning town houses on the shores of Chichester Harbour. Spinnaker Place is a private gated development of three exceptional homes arranged around a landscaped courtyard with an entrance opposite the creek at Dolphin Quay. The warehouse-style theme of these properties was created to blend sensitively with the Old Flour Mill, close by in Queen Street. The initial challenges presented by this site were worth overcoming due to its prime location. The issue of flooding was solved by raising the whole area up by a metre. Obstacles such as problematic ground conditions and storm water attenuation were resolved, and this development went on to win a major award in the Daily Mail UK Property Awards.

Egmont Mews, Midhurst EIGHT CHARACTER COTTAGES IN A PERIOD SETTING

After a long planning history, won on appeal, we were able to sympathetically redevelop a period coaching inn, stables and grounds into eight character cottages. Situated in the centre of the market town of Midhurst, these charming cottages blend in with the surrounding period and listed buildings.

Set in the semi-rural village of Eastergate, Corner House is a development of eight luxurious two-bedroom apartments in four differing layouts along with three striking and individual one-bedroom loft apartments. The stylish homes are located in a charming building, developed from an architectural brief to resemble a vicarage more than an apartment block. A steeply sloping roof of clay tiles sits atop elevations of attractive brickwork while cast stone sills and cut brick arches frame the windows. About us Edward Elliott MANAGING DIRECTOR ed@junnell.co.uk As Managing Director, Edward takes responsibility for most of the strategic decisions including land acquisition, funding and sales. He also heads up the creative team and works closely with architects, an interior designer, and a host of other consultants. After a brief spell in estate agency, Edward founded Junnell in 1993. Initially, the company sought to acquire and sell existing properties, adding value through remodelling, conversion and refurbishment. With the experience gained from 31 successful projects, Edward turned his attention to designing and building new homes. He went on to develop an impressive portfolio of 42 new homes across ten locations throughout West Sussex, Hampshire and Surrey. Edward has a keen sense of adventure, participating in off-piste skiing and water sports for many years. He spends leisure time boating on the Costa Brava and around the Solent. Edward has a Spanish wife and two young daughters and has acquired a love of all things Spanish; he enjoys exploring the country and its culture and gastronomy.

Jonathan Bingham BSc Civil Eng CONSTRUCTION DIRECTOR jonathan@junnell.co.uk As Construction Director, Jonathan has overall responsibility for preparing accurate cost appraisals, technical design, procurement and construction whilst managing the commercial aspects of each project. He thrives on delivering every development on time and on budget to the high standard that is synonymous with Junnell. With over ten years experience working for Junnell Homes, and prior to this as a managing quantity surveyor, Jonathan has worked on a variety of prestigious residential and commercial projects throughout Europe and the Far East. Jonathan’s an active sportsman and this goes hand in hand with his thirst for adventure and travel. He can be found pursuing his passion for sports, either on the ocean or in the mountains dependant on the season. Having lived and worked in the French Alps and Canadian Rockies, he’s a keen and proficient ski mountaineer. Living on the coast, he also enjoys windsurfing and surfing whenever conditions allow. Cycling is a recent interest, and he’s participated in a number of endurance cycling events over the past few seasons.
