Q: Who pays the household bills?

Q: What type of property makes the best buy-to-let investment?

A tenant is usually responsible for paying Council Tax, heating, water and electricity costs. Any maintenance/service charges and insurance costs would normally be paid by the landlord.

Q: Can I manage my own buyto-let investment?

Yes you can, however we encourage landlords to consider the implications of doing so and ensure they are aware of their legal and moral obligations. We offer varying service levels and will happily advise any landlord who may be unsure as to the level of service they require.

Q: Will I have to pay tax on my rental income?

Yes, all income must be declared for tax purposes, however individual circumstances will determine the amount of tax you are liable to pay. For all tax related matters it is recommended that you seek independent financial (tax) advice.
