Kathleen O’Rourke is a local artist and Tim Moriarty is a local photographer who regularly contributes to The Rockaway Times’ Local Color section and is right on the beat when it comes to some local news events. This week, he even won second place from the New York Press Association for Spot News Photo for his photo of surfers rescuing a whale, that was featured on the cover of the paper in December.
