When a cyclone rips through Kansas, Dorothy (Judy Garland) and her dog Toto are whisked away to the magical Land of Oz. As they follow the yellow brick road toward the Emerald City to meet the Wizard, they meet Scarecrow, who needs a brain; Tin Woodsman, missing a heart, and a Cowardly Lion who wants courage. To earn the Wizard’s help, the group must return with the broomstick of the Wicked Witch of the West.

I’m looking forward to yet another incredibly diverse and exciting Pops Season with your RPO! This year, we will be premiering three new concerts that cover a wide range of musical tastes and genres including Disco Divas, a celebration of the most influential female vocalists of our time, from Donna Summer to Patti LaBelle to Diana Ross and more; Tainted Love: The New Wave, a post-punk, synth-pop exploration of a genre rarely heard in pops concerts; and Come Swing With Me, vocalist Paul Loren’s swinging tribute to Frank Sinatra, Bobby Darin, and the other great crooners of the 1950s Las Vegas Strip.
Rochester favorite Byron Stripling returns as conductor/ trumpeter on his Smooth Sounds of New Orleans concert. We’ll also showcase the very best of contemporary Broadway with Broadway Tonight! as well as a ’Swonderful tribute to George Gershwin featuring the incomparable Lisa Vroman.
You won’t want to miss any of the celebration as your RPO says Happy Birthday, John Williams, with a one-night-only tribute to the venerable American composer featuring his most iconic film scores. And finally, our annual Gala Holiday Pops extravaganza featuring vocalist Ashley Jayy and the Festival High School Chorale, a Rochester family tradition for over 30 years! As always, the incredible talents of your RPO will be on display for each and every concert.

After you complete your subscription order, we will send you a confirmation via email. Please be sure to include or update your email address on your order form.
If you are requesting a change to your subscription, we will process the change once our renewal period is finished. If we can fulfill your request for a series or seating change, we will make the adjustments and you will be notified by e-mail. Upon receiving the e-mail, you may call in to discuss other seating options. We will make every effort to accommodate you. Requests for changes are honored according to the date orders are received and paid, with full series Philharmonics A and Pops X subscribers receiving priority.
If you add tickets to your package, we will assign those seats starting in June after all subscriber packages have been seated. Subscribers may request exchanges upon subscribing. Those requests will then be processed by our Patron Services team starting June 2024.
In early August, you will receive your season and add-on tickets.
