WHAT DRIVER DO YOU NEED?
1. Determine the LED strip voltage
Voltage is usually listed on the packaging of the strip but it is also on the LED strip PCD.
2. Determine the power draw of the LED strip For LED strip this is presented as W/m or watts per metre.
3. Determine the driver you require for your installation
Once you know the wattage, multiply this by the length required for your installation to determine what power driver you need.
For example, using 10 metres of 12V SMD CCT1 with a power draw of 4.8W/m would be 4.8W/m x 10m = 48W.
This would require a driver that can run 48W at 12V.
4. Other considerations
• Does your driver need to be IP20 or IP67 rated?
• Do you require dimmable via wall switch functionality?
