JAYE BEELER: This award-winning journalist is the author of tasting and touring Michigan’s Homegrown Food: a Culinary Roadtrip (arbutus press may 2012), which sings the praises of michigan’s homegrown food. Jaye started her jaunts as the food editor at The Grand rapids press, where she shared the culinary stories of growers, chefs, restaurants, markets, home cooks and food artisans. AMANDA LEATHERMAN: “The Fresh Chef” is an independent business owner and native of Grand rapids who attended the Culinary arts school at Grand rapids Community College. she offers personal, in-home chef services. in a world that is constantly pressing us to rush, rush, rush, amanda encourages you to take a moment to stop and enjoy the purity and freshness of an in-season, locally sourced, healthy meal in the comfort of your own home. SHARI STEINBACH & TINA MILLER: shari and Tina serve as meijer spokespersons on food and nutrition issues and they conduct regular media spots on several michigan, Ohio and indiana TV stations, as well as numerous presentations to community groups and professional organizations. Their timely nutrition and food product information is distributed through a variety of educational brochures and on their popular website, www.meijermealbox.com. DAVID STANLEY: With over 20 years of professional experience in fine wines, specialty beverages and quality foods, david helps customers pick great wine, beer or spirits as the Wine & Beverage steward at meijer. he assists with all aspects of planning a beverage menu or tips for planning an intimate dinner and how to pair each course perfectly. CHEF ANGUS CAMPBELL: a City and Guilds master Craftsmen, with over 29 years of experience, Chef angus Campbell was born and raised on the isle of lewis, scotland. Beginning his professional career, Chef Campbell worked at the Bahamas hotel Training College where he became the department Chair for their Culinary arts department before moving to Grand rapids where he currently teaches in the Culinary arts program as Chefinstructor in the heritage restaurant for lunch service.

RAY SIERENGOWSKI & JENNIFER GRITTERS: Chef ray is a food writer for culinary and food science trade magazines and author of both Fire in the Kitchen: a Cookbook For Couples, and the soon to be released the step by step Chef. he is also the Corporate research Chef for meijer and leads the Culinary innovation Team. Chef Jen is currently in her final year of her Food science degree and has been with meijer in product development for over three years. Together, this team work together to develop new and innovative meijer brand products, along with creating great meal solutions to help consumers become more knowledgeable and experimental with their foods. MICHAEL SCHAFER: This charismatic wine educator, consultant and sommelier has studied wine around the world for over 25 years. he has been featured on CNN, aBC, WTVs-public television, the detroit News and the Oakland press. michael is an instructor at the international Culinary school of the art institute of michigan, judges international competitions, and has taught classes with madame Charity suczek at le petite Cordon Bleu school of haute Cuisine. he is also a board member of the detroit Wine Organization. ELLEN FLORA: in the 1970s, Ellen first immersed herself in gardening, learning about the local fish, game and herbs, and struggling to become an accomplished chef specializing in California cuisine. While taking classes at u.C. davis and working hands-on in the winery, she developed a true love for the new and exciting California wine industry for which she has now worked 18 years, most recently as a senior Wine ambassador at domaine Chandon. JOSH GANZEVOORT: Joshua is head of the hotel Kitchen product line for the amway hotel Corporation. he has been a chef with the amway Grand plaza hotel for fifteen years and has been published in numerous cookbooks and periodicals. Joshua’s focus over the years has been education and incorporation of local and sustainable food and its use in the amway Grand community. DOUG ORR: doug has had the great honor of making and presenting president Ford’s 90th Birthday Cake, as well as events for many other dignitaries and celebrities. Chef doug played an intricate role in assisting the 1913 room win, and keep, its Five-diamond award for nine straight years up until its closure in the spring of 2011. he stays active teaching as a part-time adjunct instructor at Grand rapids Community College.

Gold Medal winners from the 2012 Tasters Guild 25th International Wine Judging will be featured at the Festival, along with the gold medal winners from the Michigan Grape and Wine Industry Council! The council supports the growth of the wine and grape industries in Michigan. New wineries are starting up in Michigan every year, wine grape acreage continues to grow, sales of Michigan wines are increasing and the reputation of Michigan as a world-class wine region is gaining more national and international attention. The winning wines that will be available for tasting at the Festival are marked in the complete Wine, Beer & Spirits list. We have invited

the area’s finest restaurants and partnered them with distinguished wineries as they prepare, present and serve gourmet multi-course meals. These casual settings offer chances to communicate with the chefs and winemakers about their choices and decisions. Enjoy special exclusive multicourse pairings by the chefs and sommeliers of Bar Divani, Tre Cugini, San Chez and Spinnaker. Tickets for the pairings may be reserved online in advance at www.GRWineFestival.com or on-site at the Festival on a first-come, first-served basis. Each pairing is limited to 16 seats.
