A. PURPOSE
Robertson is committed to a consistent and transparent approach to tuition, fees, and refunds. This policy provides the framework for all fee assessments and outlines the specific conditions under which a student qualifies for a refund. Its purpose is to ensure students have the information they need to make informed decisions about their enrollment, withdrawal, or application
B. SCOPE
This policy applies to all students enrolled in a licensed diploma, certificate, microcourse, or English Language course at Robertson College. The policy covers tuition fees paid by the student for that program and any non-tuition fees that are explicitly stated as refundable in the policy.
The scope of the refund policy may be limited by applicable laws or regulations. For example, certain federal financial aid programs may require that the school return a portion of the aid to the government if a student withdraws from the program. In such cases, the school may be required to follow specific refund policies and procedures as dictated by the relevant laws or regulations.

Date of Withdrawal The official date that enrollment has ceased
D. POLICY
● The official withdrawal date is determined in accordance with the applicable withdrawal policy
● The official withdrawal date is used to determine the percentage of the program completed and the corresponding amount of tuition outstanding or to be refunded to the student.
● Reimbursement to the student will occur no later than 30 days from the date of withdrawal.
● Refunds will be processed in the same manner as the original payment method.

○ Cash and debit payment refunds will be deposited directly into the student’s Canadian bank account or by wire transfer.
○ Payments made via government or third-party funding (ie, student loans and grants) will be refunded to the government or third party.
● International students who register for a licensed program but have their visa refused are eligible for a full tuition refund. The international student registration fee will also be refunded, but this is applicable only to eligible students. To qualify, students must submit their visa refusal letter, which must be issued within the last 6 weeks If the visa refusal letter is older than 6 weeks, the registration fee will be forcibly withheld from the refund.
● The specific details of each refund will depend on factors such as the length and cost of the program/course, the student's circumstances, and any relevant regulations or laws governing the contract location.
● It is important to note that the refund policy does not cover any other expenses that may be incurred by the student while attending the program, such as room and board, transportation to the college or to practicum sites, and coursework and materials. These expenses are generally the responsibility of the student and are not refundable under the policy
● Application fees, service fees, and miscellaneous fees may be non-refundable depending on the circumstances and length of time enrolled in a specific course program. Please refer to the appendices below for the specifics of those circumstances
