Si estás aprendiendo a maquillarte, comienza poco a poco. Usa pequeñas cantidades de producto y trabaja por capas. Coloca la base solo donde la necesites, el corrector en zonas específicas y el rubor gradualmente. En los ojos, empieza con tonos suaves y aumenta la intensidad. Siempre es más fácil agregar producto que retirar el exceso. La higiene también es parte de una rutina de belleza responsable. Es recomendable no compartir cosméticos, mantener limpios los aplicadores y reemplazar la máscara de pestañas aproximadamente tres meses después de abrirla. Mi mensaje para cada mujer es simple: el maquillaje no debe esconderte. Debe ayudarte a resaltar tu esencia. Cuando conoces tu piel, tus colores y tu estilo, dejas de perseguir cada tendencia y comienzas a construir una imagen auténtica. Y recuerda: una buena técnica se aprende con práctica, paciencia y productos adecuados para ti; no necesitas compararte con nadie para brillar realmente. Los expertos en Dermatología recomienda utilizar protector solar de amplio espectro con SPF 30 o superior. Un SPF 30 filtra aproximadamente el 97 % de los rayos UVB. Proteger la piel diariamente ayuda a reducir el daño causado por el sol, incluyendo manchas y signos de envejecimiento prematuro. When we first started MiDia Elite Modeling alongside Robert, I had a vision of creating something that was about more than just modeling. I wanted to help young girls find their inner confidence, embrace their beauty, and feel comfortable being themselves. I wanted them to understand that modeling is not only about how you look, but also about how you carry yourself, communicate, and believe in who you are. 14
My experience with the models throughout this program has been so amazing and rewarding. From our very first class, I have been able to see the girls learn, grow, and become more confident. Watching their progress reminds me exactly why we started MiDia Elite Modeling in the first place. Every girl has come into this program with her own personality and strengths, and it has been so special watching them become more comfortable and confident with themselves.

More Than a Runway Throughout our classes, we have focused on many different areas of modeling and personal development. We started with the basics, including posture, runway walking, stopping, turns, and runway spacing. As we continued, we introduced posing, photography, social media, professionalism, hair and makeup, communication, and confidence. Each class has given the models something new to learn and something they can take with them beyond the runway.
One of my favorite parts of the program has been bringing in guest speakers who can share their experiences and motivate the girls. Our guest speakers have brought so much value to the program by talking about confidence, motivation, photography, beauty, professionalism, and other important parts of the industry. Hearing different perspectives has allowed the girls to ask questions, learn from others, and understand that there are so many different opportunities available to them. Being able to teach these girls has also taught me a lot about myself. I have realized that sometimes the smallest moments can show the biggest growth. Seeing a model who may have been shy at the beginning
confidently walk into the room, speak up, or step onto the runway is something that makes me incredibly proud. It reminds me that confidence does not happen overnight. It grows with encouragement, practice, and having people around you who believe in you. My hope for MiDia Elite Modeling is that it continues to be a place where young girls feel supported, inspired, and encouraged to become the best version of themselves. I want every girl who participates to leave knowing that she does not have to change who she is to be beautiful or confident. Her individuality is what makes her special. Looking back at everything we have accomplished so far, I am incredibly grateful for every model, parent, guest speaker, and person who has supported this program. This experience has reminded me that we are not simply teaching girls how to model. We are helping them discover their confidence, embrace who they are, and recognize their own potential. MiDia Elite Modeling is only the beginning, and I am so excited to continue watching these girls grow and see where their confidence takes them.

Nobody shows up knowing everything. Led by Gema Gomez, the program introduces aspiring models to runway techniques, posing, presentation, and teamwork. You learn how to move with purpose, take direction, and feel more comfortable in front of a camera. Each lesson gives you something to build on. Because watching a runway video and actually doing the walk? Two different experiences. Suddenly, you’re thinking about your shoulders, your steps, your expression, and whether your arms look awkward. Gema helps girls work through those details until the movements start feeling more natural. Posing takes practice, too. A little change in your chin, shoulders, or expression can completely change a

Lo recordarás por las emociones, pero también a través de fotografías y videos. Por eso, para mí, el maquillaje y el peinado de una novia no se tratan solamente de hacerla lucir bonita. Se trata de ayudarla a sentirse segura, elegante y, sobre todo, ella misma. He aprendido que el mejor maquillaje de novia no siempre es el más cargado, el más glamuroso o el que está de moda. El mejor maquillaje es aquel que hace que una mujer se mire al espejo y piense: “Soy yo, pero en mi mejor versión.” Una piel bonita comienza mucho antes de sentarnos frente al espejo el día de la boda. La idea es llegar a ese día con una piel equilibrada, descansada y preparada. El maquillaje de novia también tiene que funcionar en diferentes escenarios. Debe verse hermoso frente a frente, pero también frente a una cámara profesional, con diferentes tipos de luz y después de varias horas de abrazos, lágrimas, fotografías, baile y celebración. Por eso, para mí, la duración es tan importante como el acabado.
Un recogido romántico puede resaltar el cuello y la espalda de un vestido. Unas ondas suaves pueden crear un estilo femenino y elegante, mientras que unas Hollywood waves pueden aportar ese toque clásico y glamuroso que nunca pasa de moda. Pero además de verse hermoso, un buen peinado de novia debe resistir durante horas. En Belkis Rodríguez Studio, quiero que mis novias reciban mucho más que maquillaje y peinado. Quiero que vivan una experiencia. La mañana de una boda está llena de emociones. Hay nervios, felicidad, fotografías y muchos detalles. Por eso considero que una profesional de belleza también debe aportar organización, tranquilidad y seguridad. Para mí, la belleza ha sido mucho más que lo que vemos por fuera. Creo firmemente que la belleza comienza desde adentro, y que el maquillaje y el peinado nos ayudan a reflejar hacia afuera esa seguridad que ya existe dentro de cada mujer. Mi mayor satisfacción no es solamente escuchar a una novia decir: “Me veo hermosa”. Es verla sonreír frente al espejo y escuchar: “Me siento hermosa. Me siento yo.”
Cada novia es diferente. Algunas se sienten más ellas mismas con un maquillaje suave y romántico; otras aman unos ojos más definidos, pestañas glamorosas, piel luminosa o un look mucho más sofisticado. No existe un solo maquillaje correcto para todas las novias. Antes de crear un look, me gusta observar sus facciones, tono de piel, vestido, accesorios, personalidad, horario de la ceremonia, lugar del evento y estilo de la boda. Las tendencias pueden inspirarnos, pero las fotografías de tu boda permanecerán incluso cuando esas tendencias ya hayan pasado. Por eso me gusta combinar técnicas actuales con una belleza elegante y clásica. El cabello es igual de importante. El peinado debe tener armonía con el vestido. El escote, el velo, los accesorios, la textura del cabello, el clima y el estilo de la boda influyen en la decisión final.
