Being part of MiDia Magazine has helped me grow so much. Every project pushes me to be more creative and professional, and it’s given me the chance to show how much I love doing makeup and hairstyling
Which MiDia Magazine cover has been the most memorable for you, and why?
The cover that stands out the most for me was the shoot with Mariana. She’s so sweet and full of energy that the whole vibe on set was amazing — and the photos came out beautiful.
What is your go-to beauty tip that you think every Quinceañera should know?
What do you focus on when creating a look for a Quinceañera’s big day?
I focus on listening to her, giving her confidence, and making sure the look is comfy and lasts all night so she can enjoy her day without stress.
What have you learned from working with so many different girls on their hair and makeup?
Skin first, always! If your skin is glowing and prepped, the makeup and pictures will always turn out way better.
How do you approach combining current beauty trends with a quinceañera’s personal style?
I try to find the balance between what’s trendy and what feels true to the girl. I want her to look modern, but also like herself.
Can you share one fun or memorable behind-thescenes moment from a MiDia photoshoot?
One time we were all laughing and singing while I was styling hair, and that energy carried into the photos. It reminded me why I love doing this so much.
I’ve learned to love and appreciate every hair texture and skin tone. Each one is beautiful in its own way, and it’s made me more versatile as a stylist.
What beauty trends are you loving right now for Quinceañeras?
I’m really into natural makeup with a little shimmer. It keeps things fresh and youthful but still gives that extra glow.
Where do you draw inspiration from when creating a quinceañera’s look?
Honestly, from each girl’s personality. Everyone has their own story, and that inspires me to create something that feels special just for her.
How does it feel when you see your work featured on a MiDia Magazine cover?
It makes me so proud! Knowing my work is on a cover and part of a memory that lasts forever is such a special feeling.
What advice would you give to young girls who are exploring makeup and hairstyling for themselves? Don’t be afraid to try new things, but always do it with love for yourself. Makeup and hair should be about expressing who you are — never about hiding it.
Photography has always been about more than just snapping a picture. It’s about capturing a memory and making it shine for years to come. And through the decades, photographers have always used tools to enhance images and bring out the best in their subjects. Long before digital cameras and editing software, retouching was done by hand. Photographers would literally use pencils or brushes to brighten the whites of eyes, smooth skin, or hide small blemishes. It wasn’t considered fake — it was simply part of making the photograph as beautiful as possible.
When computers and Photoshop entered the picture, everything changed again. Suddenly, editing became faster and more precise. Whitening teeth, removing blemishes, or even slimming down a waistline became part of the process. At first, some called it “cheating,” but eventually, digital editing became the industry standard. Families expected portraits to be retouched, and people saw it as a normal part of professional photography.
Now, in 2025, we’ve entered the AI era. Like every tool before it, AI gives photographers new ways to be creative. Sometimes it’s small adjustments — softening the background, enhancing natural light, or making colors pop. Other times, AI can transform an entire image, turning an ordinary
Photography has always had its glow-up tricks. Photoshop came in hot, fixing smiles and smoothing skin. Now it’s AI’s turn, adding dreamy vibes and cool effects. But here’s the truth: the tool doesn’t matter.
From pencils to Photoshop to AI, tools evolve. What matters most is the memory — if a photo brings back the magic, it’s priceless.
photo into something cinematic or dreamy, like a Quinceañera portrait in a moody autumn setting. This raises the question: does using AI make the photo less real? The truth is, photos have never been judged by the tools used to create them. They’re judged by the feelings they bring back. Does the image capture the magic of your special day? Does it make your family smile every time they see it? Does it bring back memories of that once-in-a-lifetime celebration? If the answer is yes, then the photo has done its job — no matter how it was enhanced.
At MiDia Magazine, we see AI as just another brush in the artist’s kit. It doesn’t replace creativity, it expands it. The heart of photography has always been about telling stories and capturing emotions, and that hasn’t changed. Whether we’re using colored pencils, Photoshop, or AI, the goal remains the same: to create images that celebrate your milestones in the most unforgettable way possible.
