MiDia Magazine: How did you get involved with HWNT (The Hispanic Women’s Network of Texas)?

Amaris: I got involved with HWNT when I found the LIP program through Social Chica, and other people told me about it too. So, I applied for the Latinas in Progress this year and got accepted. Once I knew more about the program, I went to the orientation and all the seminars they were having. I was so happy to find this program to help me through the college application process and throughout the entire year.
