MDM: Thank you so much for giving us the opportunity in getting to know you and Congratulations on you winning the Cover Model Search for MiDia Magazine. Could you please introduce yourself and share some of your current hobbies and interests that you’re really passionate about? Gabriele: I’m Gabrielle and so excited to be here and share a bit about myself. Currently, I have a few hobbies and interests that I’m really passionate about. I love running, biking, reading, and hanging out with friends. These activities bring me a lot of joy and allow me to be well rounded. MDM: Balancing schoolwork and extracurricular activities can be challenging. Do you have any tips or strategies on how to manage your time e ectively? Gabrielle: What I find challenging as a teenager today is how people see me. Obviously there are people out there who will dislike you for no reason, but you cannot let that get you down. I usually ignore those people, because life is too short. MDM: Who are some of your role models or inspirations? What qualities do you admire in them? Gabrielle: Some of my role models and inspirations are my parents, my sister, St. Elizabeth of Hungary, and Audrey Hepburn. I look up to these people because they

all share two characteristics and that is leadership, and they are always striving to help others. MDM: at’s wonderful! Speaking of creative expression, what are your favorite ways to express yourself creatively? Gabrielle: My favorite way to express myself is through art. Sometimes I feel random urges to draw, or I do it when I feel sad. MDM: Friendships and social dynamics can sometimes be tricky. How do you navigate them? Have you encountered any di cult situations? Gabrielle: While I have lots of friends in the many di erent groups in my high school, I have a couple close friends that I spend almost all my time with. No one gets along perfectly with everyone, so it is normal to have ups and downs with friendships. I have encountered one di cult situation with the friends I have today, but we talked through it and now understand each other better than before. MDM: Body image and self-con dence are important topics. What are your thoughts on them, and how do you create a positive self-image? Gabrielle: Everyone is di erent through their looks, and how they feel about them. Even though this may be a di cult message to hear for some, I would just say to love yourself, and own your image. You only live once. I can say I have also struggled with my appear-

ance, and sometimes I am still insecure with some things, but through modeling and doing activities I love, I have grown in con dence and am grateful for everyone that has supported me thus far. MDM: Are there any causes or social issues that you feel strongly about? How do you try to make a di erence in those areas? Gabrielle: In the near future I hope people nd a cure for Type 1 Diabetes. I feel strongly about this specically because someone I am close to has had this chronic illness for several years. I try to make a di erence through the Juvenile Diabetes Research Foundation by being an ambassador. By being an ambassador, I am able to help raise thousands of dollars for research by volunteering at several events throughout the year. MDM: As you grow older, what are some of the goals or aspirations you have for yourself in the future? Gabrielle: As I grow older, some goals that I have thought about so far are working in a career that I love, in uencing others to be the best versions of themselves, and becoming nancially independent so I can donate money to my favorite philanthropies. MDM: Gabrielle thank you so much for sharing your thoughts and insights with us and we look forward to seeing great things come your way.

Hey there! It's Chelsey again, and today I want to tell you about Angela Aguilar and all the things she's been up to this year, 2023. But before we get into that, let's talk about some drama that happened in December 2022, because who doesn't love a little gossip, right?

Angela posted a picture on Instagram saying she's 1/4 Argentinian, and she was proudly wearing Argentina's colors, light blue and white. This caused some people to criticize her. They said she used Mexican traditions too much and it wasn't authentic. Some even questioned her Mexican identity because she was born in America. But Angela's dad, Pepe Aguilar, showed his Mexican passport to prove that she's just as Mexican as any other kid with Mexican roots.

After that, some people started saying Angela couldn't even fill a concert venue, which is why her family had to cancel a concert in Jalisco, Mexico due to low ticket sales. But despite the criticism, Angela was still recog-

nized for her talent. She was invited to the Premios Juventud earlier this year, where she humbly said she sometimes can't believe people call her the princess of Mexican music.

And guess what? Angela was invited to present herself at the Latin American Music Awards 2023. She's an amazing singer and has been nominated for more than six awards. However, some people think she's become arrogant because of her success. But hey, everyone has their own opinion, right?

In my opinion, Angela is a really talented singer no matter what. But I want to know what you think. Let me know your thoughts!

Hello everyone, I am Vanessa Rosales with fashion sense on iQuinceradio. com every Monday at 7pm with my amazing co-host Gabriel Gutierrez. I love fashion and do my best to re use outfits and change them up all the time. Many of the clothing pieces I have had for a long time, but they still look and feel new. I always do my best to reuse and redo different outfits. When I buy new clothing pieces, I tell myself three things. Am I going to use it? If so, what other things can I wear it with? And most importantly do I love this piece, does it speak to ME? People always want to follow the latest trends and once the trend is over, they tend to throw out the clothing. Much of the clothing that isn’t recycled ends up in our streets and waterways harming our environment. More than 100 billion pieces of clothing are made and each year up to 92 tons end up in landfills about 15- 20 percent end up recycled. Instead of tossing your old pieces, recommend taking them to your local clothing deposit and donat-

ing it or your local thrift store if you want to make some of your money back. I also recommend thrifting. Thrifting allows you to find cute unique pieces cheaply and sustainably. My best thrifting grab was when I purchased my favorite robe. The original price was almost $60, and never used, and still with its original tag, my best purchase yet I only got it for $19! Although it took me some time to find it, I was very satisfied with my purchase. This is precisely one way thrifting has helped me save money as well as recycling and not letting great pieces of clothing go to waste. Christian Dior Collaborates with Mexican Artistry Cruise 2024 Collection

Imagine being inspired by your favorite artist and turning that inspiration into a beautiful fashion collection. That’s exactly what Maria Grazia Chiuri, the Creative Director of Christian Dior, did with her Frida Kahlo-inspired collection.

INSPIRATION

Ever since she was 16 years old and saw an exhibition by Kahlo in Italy, Chiuri has been a huge fan. And now, she got to work with artisans from all over Mexico to bring Kahlo’s spirit to life in the Dior fashion show!

The show took place at the Antiguo Colegio de San Ildefonso, the same school where Frida Kahlo went and met her husband, Diego Rivera. Even though it was raining that day, the rain made the show even more special. It added a beautiful touch to the model’s hair, makeup, and eyebrows.

The collection itself was filled with flowy dresses and skirts that reminded everyone of Frida Kahlo and the Mexican Revolution. And guess what?

Many of the outfits had pockets, which is always a bonus!

The clothes were not only beautiful but also meaningful. They were made by talented artisans from different parts of Mexico. They used vibrant textiles and embroidered designs fromChiapas, creating dresses, shirts, vests, and jackets that were full of life. Dior also took

inspiration from Frida’s suits and made their own feminine versions with flowy pants, skirts, andeven a tuxedo dress. It was all about embracing Frida’s style and making it even more fabulous!

To add the finishing touches, there were custom-made butterfly jewelry, hair clips, and belts. They even had Jarocho hats and lovely lace dresses inspired by Veracruz. Everything camtogether to create a magical fashion experience. But the show didn’t end with just the clothes. There was a special performance by a talented artist named Elina Chauvet.

She is known for her Red Shoes exhibits, where each pair of shoes represents a woman who has been a victim of violence. For this show, Chauvet collaborated with designers to create simple white cotton muslin dresses with red embroidered messages that symbolized women and their causes. It was a powerful way to raise awareness and show support.

IT’S MY PARTY & IT WAS GREAT!

Hey everyone, I'm back! As you all know, my party happened on May 20th. Everything turned out really well, just as we planned and hoped. But like in any party, there were some people who couldn't come. Other than that, from my point of view, everything turned out just how I imagined it. The makeup was done on time, and the pictures taken were amazing. We arrived at the party place on time, and everything was ready and set up. The food was delicious, and the people at the party place were really nice and did everything right. Oh, and the cake was super yummy! As a surprise, my parents got me the band I really wanted. The pictures we took when we entered the party were awesome, and there was even a cool robot and a great performance by TurboRemixDJ playing Bad Bunny songs. It made the party even

more fun! We also had a photobooth by LuxuryPhotobooth, which was a cool souvenir for guests to take home. I danced all night and had a lot of fun. I didn’t even have time to sit down! And a big thank you to DreamTeam Cadets for the surprise dances!
