Liceo S. Rosa da Viterbo Human Sciences High School Musical High School

OUR SCHOOL The High School S. Rosa from Viterbo is located in the ancient part of the town so the building is not very modern.

This part is called the district of” S. Pellegrino”.

Our school is quite big, because it is attended by about 800 pupils. Most of them are girls.

Every day the students start school at eight o’clock a.m. and leave at one o’clock p.m.

Only students of the Liceo Musicale stay at school in the afternoon when they have instrument lessons

WHY SANTA ROSA ?

Our school got the name from S. Rosa who is the patron of our town .

On her honour a 30 metres tower bell made of fiberglass and carried by 100 porters passes through the historical centre of Viterbo on September 3rd.It is called the “ Macchina of Santa Rosa�

GENERAL INFORMATION STUDENTS GO TO HIGH SCHOOL FROM THE AGE OF 13/14 TO THE AGE OF 18/19

*MUSIC STUDENTS TAKE OTHER EXAMS AFTER 2 YEARS AND FOUR YEARS COURSE

HIGH SCHOOL IS COMPULSORY UNTIL THE AGE OF 16

THEY HAVE LUNCH AT HOME

STUDENTS GO TO SCHOOL FROM 8 A.M. TO 1.P.M MONDAY/ SATURDAY *MUSICAL STUDENTS STAY FOR PERSONAL INSTRUMENT TEACHING TWICE A WEEK IN THE AFTERNOON THEY TAKE A FINAL EXAM AFTER THEIR FIVE YEAR COURSE ( JUNE/ JULY)

SCHOOL STARTS IN SEPTEMBER AND ENDS IN JUNE THEY DON’T HAVE TO WEAR A UNIFORM THEY PRACTISE PHYSICAL EDUCATION IN THE MORNING
