Narrative Report 5 Narrative Report 5

On our fifth week of our observation, both two classrooms have the same sitting arrangement which is by pairs. In the first class, students are interactive with the teacher, they are actively listening to the teacher while discussing, also they are raising their hands to answer the questions of the teacher. Throughout the discussion the students are participating and engaging, it is because the teacher caught their attention and interest. In the part of the educator, the educator uses English as a medium of instruction in majority of the discussion instead of Tagalog. Since the first subject of the class is research defense, and the chairs are disarranged as we enter the classroom and the students are still in their formal wear. So, the educator give the students five minutes to arrange the chairs and to get ready for the class. The environment of the first class, is quiet but very hot inside the classroom there are maybe wall fans but it cannot aid the hotness of what the students feel. Even though it was very hot inside the classroom, the learning never stops the students are still listening and participating in the discussion which is still a good signs that the scorching heat is not an hindrance for students to learn. In the second class observation, since it is their last subject the environment of the students is noisy and full of distraction. When the teacher began the class, there are students who just arrived from canteen and they didn't even apologized nor explain why they are late they just enter the classroom acting like they didn't see a teacher in front. Fortunately, the teacher didn't mind and asked the students if there are still in the canteen because she will be conducting a quiz. Throughout the quiz, students are silent and focused because the teacher is keeping on eye on them, the teacher uses technology in presenting her discussion and in conducting the quiz by flashing it on television.
