Biography of Robb Stein

Robb Stein is an entrepreneur who leads several companies and has been a real estate investor for more than 20 years. Raised in Cincinnati, Ohio, he developed a strong connection to his hometown and has remained committed to supporting the community throughout his career. His professional work reflects a combination of business leadership and local engagement through volunteer service and charitable support.

Growing up in Cincinnati helped shape his interest in business and community service. Over time, he became known for focusing on long-term opportunities while also supporting organizations that address healthcare, education, and social needs within the region.

Business Leadership

Stein is the principal owner of the Cincinnati Byrider location, which is part of a national dealership network that sells inspected and reconditioned vehicles. The dealership also offers in-house financing programs designed to help customers build or rebuild credit. Payments are reported to the major credit bureaus, helping customers strengthen their financial profiles while maintaining reliable transportation. Across the United States, more than one million individuals have chosen Byrider as their dealership. The program has become an option for customers who may not qualify for traditional financing through banks or standard auto lenders.

In addition to this role, Robert Stein serves as President of Derojo, Inc., a Cincinnati-based company involved in multiple industries. The company operates auto dealerships, subprime finance companies, a real estate development group, and a reinsurance company. Its strategy often focuses on businesses operating in specialized markets that may benefit from capital investment and improved management.

Additional Ventures

He also serves as Chairman of Card Sound Reinsurance Group, which focuses on specific insurance risks that can offer higher returns in favorable tax environments. The organization concentrates on carefully selected exposures where long-term planning and structured risk management are important.

Another major venture involves leadership within the automotive retail sector. Robert Stein, of Cincinnati, is the President and owner of Alford Motors, Inc., the largest subprime auto dealer group. The company combines vehicle sales with financing programs that support customers who cannot obtain loans through traditional lenders.

Community Involvement

Outside the business world, Robb Stein has remained active in charitable and civic efforts in Cincinnati. He served nearly a decade on the Board of Directors of StarShine Hospice at Cincinnati Children’s Hospital. The program provides palliative care for children and young adults with limited life expectancy, focusing on comfort and family support.

He also served on the board of Living Arrangements for the Developmentally Disabled (LADD). The organization works with adults with developmental disabilities, helping them live independently while providing employment training and community support.

Volunteer and Service Work

Robb's volunteer efforts also include long-standing involvement with the American Heart Association. Over the years, he helped establish the organization’s Young Professional committee and supported leadership initiatives that focus on awareness and fundraising.

In addition, he served as a former co-chair of Fall Feast Cincinnati and spent more than a decade on its steering committee. The annual Thanksgiving event brings

together over one thousand volunteers to provide meals, coats, and services to thousands of individuals in need throughout the city.

Education and Personal Life

Robb Stein earned a Bachelor of Science degree from Indiana University in Bloomington. Outside of business and volunteer work, he enjoys golf, skiing, boating, and outdoor challenges. He has also participated in endurance events, including the 29029 Everesting Challenge in Jackson Hole, and later summited Mount Rainier.
