PHYSICAL THERAPY OATH
Today, I pledge to address the health needs of society and to affect change that benefits my patients, clients, and community. I will strive for excellence, compassion, empathy, inclusivity, and respect for the rights and needs of my patients in an environment conducive to growth. I will provide accurate, relevant, evidence-based information and treatment to my patients, enabling them to make informed decisions. I will respect diversity and not betray the trust of my patients, who have given me the privilege to advocate for them. I will protect the well-being of my community and do no harm. I will respect the views, knowledge, rights, and skills of my colleagues and all healthcare professionals. With great honor, I accept this white coat as a symbol of life-long learning and service within my community in front of my family, friends, mentors, and peers who have supported me along this journey. With this oath, I dedicate myself to the noble cause of healing, rehabilitation, and improving the quality of life for my patients, always conducting myself with professionalism, compassion, and with the highest ethical standards.
