RMS Sixth Form Bulletin Edition 22: 4th November 2016 Message from Mrs Freeman… Welcome back after what seemed to be a very quick half term. This week has been incredibly busy with talks to the Sixth Form on sexual consent, study skills and interview techniques. The last of these talks was presented by a visitor from RBS and is part of the L.E.A.D. course which is being well attended by the Year 12 students. I would like to thank Dr Esland for all the work she has put into organising such a great range of talks for the students who I know will benefit immensely from it. I continue to be bombarded with red UCAS folders and am finding myself longing to be 18 again with such a huge variety of exciting and interesting courses on offer at university now. Anyone still to get their folder in should really be making final touches now so that it can get sent in the next couple of weeks. For those in year 12 it is never too early to get started thinking about the next stage. I have offered 3 excellent presentations which I enjoyed at a conference earlier this week and I really hope that those thinking about medical or Oxbridge applications take up this opportunity. Have a good weekend everyone...and enjoy the fireworks!
Message from Fenella…. As the first week back from half term commences, Hind House continues to plough through their usual heavy work load plus many extra-curricular activities. Speaking of which, the upper school production of A Midsummer Night’s Dream will take to the stage next Tuesday – so book your tickets everyone! I know a lot of our Sixth Form members are working very hard to make the show a great success, and I’m sure it will be a wonderful watch. Additionally, Year 13 are starting to organise Sixth Form Entertainment; we are brain-storming a lot of creative and innovative ideas to make sure Mrs Rose’s last House Day is something to remember. Have a good weekend, everyone!
