peration Santa is a group of concerned citizens in Asquith who want to help needy people during the Christmas season. They are starting their eighteenth year of the “Operation Santa” program. The community of Asquith and area was generous in their support last year, both monetarily and in donated grocery items, allowing the group to provide hampers to sixteen very grateful family units plus a small gift for 24 very happy children! They are running the program again this year to provide grocery and Christmas meal hampers to needy local families as well as small gifts for their children. Recipient’s names are

quest forms are attached to the donations boxes. You can apply for yourself or nominate another person or family. Drop nomination forms at the Town Office or Post Office by December 9th. If you or your organization would like to purchase a gift for a child or donate grocery items or cash, please drop it off prior to Dec. 9th. They welcome any participation you choose. Delisle Angel Tree Program

T

he 3rd Annual Delisle Angel Tree Program provides individuals and families with greatly needed items this holiday season. In the past 2 years, the program has impacted over 150 individuals from more than 50 families. Individuals or families can be self-nominated or nominated by others and are asked to supply a list of NEED items as well as one or two WANT items. Past participants will not be automatically nominated so be sure to complete the nomination each year. A Christmas tree with angel tags is on display in the Delisle Primary Health

They are appealing to the entire community to be a part of this and thank you in advance for any help that you might be able to give, be it in the form of a food drive for grocery items or cash donation.
