Borden Care Home Offers High Quality of Living in a Peaceful Rural Setting

any people in Saskatchewan have enjoyed rural living for their whole lives. When the time inevitably comes to down-size and move on, many people are reluctant to relocate to the hustle and bustle of the city. For those people, who wish to maintain the relaxed lifestyle of rural living, there is no place like home, except at the Borden Care Home. This non-profit personal care home opened in 2001 and has been offering unique Level 1 & 2 care for up to 16 residents at a time, that cannot be found at care homes in the big city. Just a 3o minutes drive north-west of Saskatoon on the divided Yellowhead Highway 16, Borden is located just past the picturesque banks of the North Saskatchewan River. The Village offers all the typical amenities found in rural communities such as a post office, museum, library, seniors centre, quilting club, farmer’s market, school, churches, coffee shop, hotel, and of course Credit Union, Co-op Grocery and Agro ! There are many other personal services available in the community with most located, not only just within walking distance of the care home, but a safe, clean, comfortable walk on wide, clean sidewalks. The care home is located next door to the Community Health Centre and Medical Clinic and boasts a large open design not found in the typical private care homes in the city.

fter taking a two year hiatus due to the pandemic, the Delisle Sports Celebrity Dinner is returning. The inaugural 2019 event was a tremendous success and organizers have waited patiently to bring it back for another year. Once again the event will feature three prominent NHL alumni to entertain for the evening. There will also be both live and silent auctions featuring unique NHL memorabilia, as well as opportunities to mingle with the NHL celebrities. The sold out 2019 event was attended by 370 local NHL fans that enjoyed listening to the hilarious

stories told by Dennis Hull, Theoron Fleury and Georges Laraque. As well, event sponsors were treated to a VIP Lounge experience ahead of the dinner, where they rubbed shoulders with the celebrities and had a chance to get once in a lifetime autographs and photos. Sponsorship packages for this year’s event are now available and tickets will go on sale in June. For more information call Kenny at 306-241-3725 or scan the QR code below to visit them on Facebook.
