It is always a great privilege to meet with donors and hear the unique and personal stories of why individuals and their families have chosen to support RMIT.

It’s really about the joy of giving - being able to help others in an area of your passion.
At the heart of every gift we receive is always a deep affinity for RMIT, and a belief in the power of education to make a difference in the world.
This report is our way of thanking you for your support and to demonstrate the impact of your gifts to RMIT, including just a few of the wonderful stories from our donor community.
This includes Professor Supriya Singh, who was inspired to donate a scholarship by her mother’s extraordinary life story. The scholarship now supports Indigenous and refugee students – one of whom is a promising young Media and Communications graduate featured on the cover of this edition.
As a global University, our Vietnam campus is a key part of our global footprint. It was established thanks to a gift of $21.5 million from The Atlantic Philanthropies, and now has more than 6,000 students across the two campuses in Saigon South and Hanoi. We spoke to one of these students, who received a scholarship via The Atlantic Philanthropies, about the impact RMIT Vietnam has made in their life.
Philanthropy doesn’t only mean a financial gift. RMIT’s Design Archives have accepted some extraordinary cultural gifts, including a collection of work by the late architect Peter Corrigan, who designed RMIT’s distinctive Building 8 on Swanston Street. The collection comes to RMIT thanks to the support of his wife Maggie and son Matthew. We are proud to be able to house this legacy for future generations.
Thank you for giving to RMIT. I hope this report inspires you to reflect on your own story of giving, and the joy it has brought you and others, and reaffirms your connection to us.
