Party from Home with our Exclusive Tea Party in a Box!

When the 25th Annual Cup O’Cheer Homes Tour Holiday Tea & Market was postponed in 2020, we were hopeful to gather in 2021 to celebrate the 25th Anniversary of our favorite holiday event. While it’s been encouraging to see progress in pandemic cases and vaccination rates, we have decided to go with a “Tea Party At Home” Cup O’Cheer this year due to the safety issues that continue.

We know there is disappointment all around, but the decision is best for all involved. Like you, we miss the traditions Cup O’Cheer brings and the precious time the day allows us to spend with special people in our lives.

Although we cannot safely hold the 25th Annual Cup O’Cheer in-person this year, we want this tradition to continue, so we’re bringing the party to you!

We invite you to celebrate with us from the safety of your own home with our Tea Party in a Box! Enjoy a cup of tea, bake a batch of homemade cookies, and channel your inner artist by making your own Cup O’Cheer holiday ornament. All supplies necessary for a “Tea Party” with your loved ones are included. Teacups & Saucers are also available a la carte.

Although our plans have changed, our mission remains the same. Your purchase and/or donation will directly benefit the children and families cared for by Ronald McDonald House Charities of the Ozarks, and your support is needed now more than ever.

Once again, we are hopeful that by November 2022, we will have a safe way to be together again and carry on the in-person tradition of Cup O’Cheer.

In 2005, longtime Ronald McDonald House supporters and owners of Obelisk Home Nathan Taylor and J. Kent Martin offered to design and source a special teacup and saucer for the 10-year anniversary of Cup O’ Cheer.

Each year since, the creative team behind Obelisk Home has created a new and unique design for the event.

Amidst the turmoil that continues spreading across the US and around the world due to the uncertainty of COVID-19, J. wanted to do something extra special to promote goodwill and peace. He reached out to local artist extraordinaire Stephanie Cramer to collaborate; she was challenged to create a painting that evoked harmony and hope to wrap the teacup design.

“Peace in Our World” is not only featured on the cup but the original framed painting has been graciously donated by the artist and Obelisk Home to be raffled for the benefit of Ronald McDonald House of the Ozarks.

The mission of RMHC of the Ozarks is to create, find and support programs that directly improve the health and well-being of children and families right here in the Ozarks. We dedicate our efforts and resources to two core programs.

First, Springfield’s two Ronald McDonald Houses have welcomed over 14,500 families of seriously ill and injured children hospitalized in Springfield over the past 33 years.

The Tooth Truck (our Ronald McDonald Care Mobile®) provides dental treatment and prevention education for at risk children with no access to dental care. We’ve completed the plans of 28,000 kids with treatment valued at $19.3 since 2002.
