Every family and child that comes to Ronald McDonald House Charities of the Ozarks has a story, and no two stories are the same. To families, the Ronald McDonald House® provides a refuge.

These are families whose seriously ill or injured children are facing trials no child should have to face. To children, the Ronald McDonald House Care Mobile® (fondly known as the Tooth Truck™) provides healthy smiles and a restored self-confidence that cannot be contained.

Your generosity allows our families and children to continue to walk over the threshold of the Ronald McDonald Houses, or step up to the Tooth Truck and feel relieved, sheltered, and cared for.

Every year, Ronald McDonald House Charities helps children and their families right here in the Ozarks.

We all walk a different path in life, but together we can keep the Ronald McDonald Houses open for families who need to be mere steps away from their seriously ill or injured children and the Tooth Truck on the road for children to be a short walk away from cavity-free smiles. Thank you for putting yourself in the shoes of these families and children.

ADOPT A FAMILY

Tonight, you have Here’s what your support can mean to our families: the opportunity 2,500 will underwrite 20 days at the Ronald McDonald $ to support the children and families who directly benefit from the Tooth Truck and our Ronald McDonald Houses.

House for a family, the average length of time our families with babies in the NICU stay at the Houses.

$1,000 ensures for an entire year that all families of hospitalized children learn about the Ronald McDonald Houses with a personal visit through our Happy Wheels Program, also delivering necessity items and fun activities.

$500 underwrites the Tooth Truck’s average cost for 4 dental appointments, providing kids with bright, shiny smiles and increased self-esteem.

$250 covers a month’s worth of expenses for our Family Fund, giving help to families with urgent needs such as gas, prescriptions and clothing.

$100 provides wristband ID for our House families, offering reassurance and security, knowing that all guests in the House have been authorized to stay.

$50 helps contribute gifts and supplies for families who will be away from their own homes and staying at our Ronald McDonald Houses during the upcoming holiday season.

ENTERTAINMENT JAKE SIMPSON

Long before his prize-winning Pop performances on Star Search and his now infamous R&B duets on The Oprah Winfrey Show; or sharing the stage with artists like Earth, Wind & Fire, Adam Lambert and Stevie Wonder; singer JAKE SIMPSON was best known across the Midwest as an up-and-coming Crooner, paying for college and cutting his teeth singing his favorite classic songs in cozy Jazz Clubs across the Heartland. Growing up in Crocker, Missouri, making music has been one of the most important driving forces in Jake’s life. His sound has been influenced by Stevie Wonder, Steve Perry, Donny Hathaway and the classic style of Sam Cooke.

Simpson has honored Ronald McDonald House Charities of the Ozarks by captivating the audiences of the Red Shoe Gala for four straight years with his inspiring enthusiasm and passion for helping families and children in our community, and we are thrilled to welcome him back to the Red Shoe Gala for the fifth year!

DAVID DOVE QUARTET Playing the local entertainment scene for over a decade, David Dove brings music to life as an educator, studio musician, composer and bassist for rising county star, Jason Pritchett. He is joined on stage for the 5th Annual Red Shoe Gala by guitarist, Matt Harp; pianist, Kelly Brown; and saxophonist, Brandon Mezzelo. Harp currently focuses on helping aspiring young players attain experience performing in big band settings and recently released an all-original album “Legacy”.

He has a follow-up album planned for release in late 2019. Brown spends his time teaching music and recording, and has toured with acts such as “The Skeletons”, “Howie & The Hillcats”, “Rags to Rich’s” and the “Ozark Mountain Daredevils”. When Brandon Mezzelo began playing professionally at 16, he was a featured soloist with the “Buddy Miles Band.” He later joined the US Army band and played as lead tenor for three Army bands stationed throughout Germany. He is now a professional educator and performer, as well as a member of the Artists Recording Collective label out of Kansas City.
