f you dream of starting off the new year in a brand-new home, look no further than builders’ quick-move-in or move-in-ready homes; also known as inventory homes, these are homes that are near completion or even fully finished. Many buyers can wait five to eight months for a home to be built from the ground up after signing a purchase contract. But a sizable number of buyers want — or need — to move into a brand-new home sooner than that. Fortunately, depending on the builder and community, a number of homes in various phases of construction are available in each new-build location.
