Last year the Bentley Scottsdale Polo Championships drew the biggest polo crowd in the country with over 13,000 fans enjoying the weekend Polo Party.

The World’s Longest Fashion Show The World’s “Longest” catwalk is a fashion show like you’ve never seen before – More than 100 models, and a few of the day’s star players, will take to the world’s longest catwalk (literally) in the middle of the polo field at WestWorld of Scottsdale.

Arizona Humane Society Canine Couture: Presented by Lugari Pet Salon Get ready to feel pawsitively fabulous at the fifth annual Canine Couture presented by Lugari Pet Salon. A dog fashion show like no other, these trendy pups will be judged on their appearance and creativity of their costumes. All breeds and sizes welcome to enter.

Car Party The Barrett-Jackson Collector Car Auction will be on-site for its eighth year in a row, anchoring some 200 amazing examples of horsepower. Additional horsepower elements on site you may find are amazing cars from Bentley Scottsdale, Scottsdale Maserati, Courtesy Volvo, Earnhardt Hyundai, Sanderson Lincoln, The Arizona Lamborghini Club, the Ferrari Club of America, Highline Autos and numerous other car clubs. We’re even turning off all the music during some of the featured match’s chukkers for live performances by the Phoenix Opera, Phoenix Symphony, Phoenix Boys Choir, Phoenix Theatre, bagpipes, and a hip-hop artist.

Big Party Whether it’s in one of the tents or one of the dayclubs, there is constant music and action in this unique atmosphere to socialize. Saturday will have more people and more of a festive atmosphere whereas Sunday will bring a more traditional polo day, albeit uniquely Scottsdale.

The club plays most weekends from October to April with all levels of play and offers introductory lessons for those interested in learning the game. The Aspen Valley Polo Club will be making its fourth return to Scottsdale as the events defending champions. The club is owned by Marc and Melissa Ganzi, one of America’s most prominent polo families.

Aspen Valley Polo Club hosts the annual Piaget World Snow Polo Championships in December. The high-end event is one of the hottest social events in Aspen, the only American city to host a snow polo tournament. This years team includes Melissa Ganzi, Nacho Figueras, and Grant Ganzi . Marco M. Elser and his brother Massimo F. Elser own a farm on the outskirts of Rome, Italy. The farm has an open arena polo field as well as a grass field for stick and balling and three on three matches. The pride and joy of the farm is a full size polo field which has been considered the largest polo field in Europe. Pictures of the field can be seen on www.apc.it

Work To Ride

As seen on ESPN, HBO and 60 minutes, Work To Ride (WTR) is a 501 c3, non-profit community-based prevention program that aids disadvantaged urban youth through constructive activities centered on horsemanship, equine sports and education. WTR provides youngsters with a positive outlet for their energy and an alternative to negative “street” activities.

Participants develop discipline, responsibility, and life skills through training, riding, and performing horse care and barn management chores. They also develop confidence, self-esteem, and the skills necessary to complete successfully in their chosen activities, including on WTR’s own top-performing polo team.

While riding on ponies, called “mounts,” the goal is to move the small white ball down the field, using a mallet to score in between the opposing team’s goal posts. The Scottsdale Polo Party plays with three
