Obituary

Our sister and aunt Carolyn Wiliams, daughter of the late William & Odell Mckintey Carson was born on November 12, 1941, in Emporia, Virginia (Greensville County).

She graduated from E.W. Wyatt High School in Emporia, Virginia.

She later moved to Washington, DC where she made it home. She met her late husband (Boysie) at Upper Room Baptist Church, where she became a member and served as A Deaconess and was regularly active on several committees until she became ill.

She worked at Washington Hospital Center for many years and later went to work for Fairfield Kitchen, where she retired.

She leaves to cherish her memory, her brother, Chartie Carson (Naomi), Washington, DC. her sister Gladys Howard Lawrenceville VA, nieces, Joyce Lynch (Jay) Jarrett, VA., Brenda Moore (James) Prince George, VA, Barbara Lynch (Kenny) Emporia, VA, Delva Square (Dwright) Emporia VA, Tishima Carson La Plata MD, Diana Merchant Richmond VA, Setestine Grockett (Thurston) Baltimore MD, Patricia Stokes Baltimore, MD Joann Battle Baltimore, MD, Rosa Battle Baltimore, MD, Diane Battle Baltimore, MD. She looked forward to grocery shopping with her brother Charlie EVERY SATURDAY morning. She enjoyed the time the two of them spent together. She loved her brother unconditionally; he could never do anything wrong. She loved to talk; she would join in other people's conversations and did not know them. When you met her, she treated you a: if you had been friends forever. She was kind, loving, and she could be funny at times. Charlie and I loved her very much. The close bond that she and I shared was a Soulful Sisterhood.

The Broken Chain We little knew that morning that God was going to call your name. In life we loved you so dearly, in death we do the same. It broke our hearts to lose you, but you did not go alone. For part of us went with you, the day God called you home. You left us peaceful memories; your love is still our guide. And though we cannot see you, you are always at our side. Our family chain is broken, and nothing seems the same. But as God calls us one by one, the chain will link again.
