RACHEL KERR I believe that landscapes shape how we move and see the world. Ecologically centered and aesthetically focused landscapes create new and meaningful movements. I am currently pursuing a dual masters degree from the University of Michigan in landscape architecture and in environmental planning. Through these degrees, I hope to help create sustainable and adaptive landscapes for our changing environment and needs.

JEFFERSON-CHALMERS VACANT LOT: DETROIT, MI FLOODING + PHYTOREMEDATION Detroit has been experiencing historically high levels of flooding in recent years. To help combat this in the Jefferson-Chalmers neighborhood, I have created a site that is designed to flood, gathering water and helping to alleviate flooding in the immediate neighborhood.
