SERVICE TO OTHERS, PROMOTE INTEGRITY AND ADVANCE WORLD UNDERSTANDING, GOODWILL, AND PEACE THROUGH OUR FELLOWSHIP OF BUSINESS, PROFESSIONAL AND COMMUNITY LEADERS WE PROVIDE
TOGETHER WE SEE A WORLD WHERE PEOPLE UNITE AND TAKE ACTION TO CREATE LASTING CHANGE ACROSS THE GLOBE IN OUR COMMUNITIES AND IN OURSELVES
These principles have been developed over the years to provide Rotarians with a strong, common purpose and direction. They serve as a foundation for our relationships with each other and the action we take in the world.
As a Rotarian, I will: 1. Act with integrity and high ethical standards in my personal and professional life 2. Deal fairly with others and treat them and their occupations with respect 3. Use my professional skills through Rotary to mentor young people, help those with special needs, and improve people’s quality of life in my community and in the world 4. Avoid behavior that reflects adversely on Rotary or other Rotarians
5. Help maintain a harassment-free environment in Rotary meetings, events, and activities; report any suspected harassment; and help ensure non-retaliation to those individuals that report harassment
Rotary’s Core Values represent the guiding principles of the organization’s culture, including what guides members’ priorities and actions within the organization. Values are an increasingly important component in strategic planning because they drive the intent and direction of the organization’s leadership. We believe that our service activities and programs bring about greater world understanding and peace. Service is a major element of our mission. Through the plans and actions of individual clubs, we create a culture of service throughout our organization that provides unparalleled satisfaction for those who serve. We believe that individual efforts focus on individual needs, but combined efforts serve humanity. The power of combined efforts knows no limitations, multiplies resources, and broadens our lives and perspectives. Fellowship leads to tolerance and transcends racial, national and other boundaries. We believe Rotary unifies all people internationally behind the ideal of service. We encourage diversity of vocations within our membership and in our activities and service work. A club that reflects its business and professional community is a club with a key to its future. We are committed to and expect accountability from our leaders and fellow members, both in the results of our efforts and in the processes we use to accomplish our goals. We adhere to high ethical and professional standards in our work and personal relationships. We are fair and respectful in our interactions, and we conscientiously steward the resources entrusted to us. We are a global fellowship of individuals who are leaders in their fields of endeavor. We believe in the importance of leadership development and in leadership as a quality of our members. As Rotarians, we are leaders in implementing our core values.

I, do solemnly promise To help advance the Object of Rotary, Comply with the Constitution and By - Laws Of Rotary International And that of the Rotary Club of Rizal Premier, Every putting into practice, Rotary’s motto of “SERVICE ABOVE SELF”
Much like the Bamboo, Rotary Club of Rizal Premier is … Resilient - we rise above any adversity; we had our share of difficult moments as a Rotarian but we were able to bounce back and more without losing our ground as Rotary is deeply rooted in our hearts. Strength - “What looks weak is actually strong” Barely 2 years, our Club is as vibrant as most experienced clubs Flexible - we bend but we do not break; we adapt to the many challenges of being a Rotarian, of doing good and of service above self.
HENRY Q. CARDINEZ Life Changing President RY 2021 - 22
Yours truly is not new to volunteerism, especially in community service. And so, even with less than a year as a Rotarian, I was elected as the next President of our 2-year old club, President-Elect in Rotary. Hesitant at first but with the assurance of support from CP Mona Cabitac, IPP Don Malsi as well as all the Club Members, I accepted. And as President-Elect, all the necessary trainings and certifications have been complied with. My challenge and challenge for many of us is this pandemic. While we have given help and support to the communities that we serve, more are still in need. And so I ask my fellow Rotarians of Rizal Premier that we continue with the good that we are doing, let’s give more of our time, talent and treasures as more have none to begin with. Individually, let us not limit ourselves to what we have set as I believe we can do more. As they say, Together, everyone accomplishes more. Bear with me, Be with me in this beautiful journey of Rotary. Together, let us serve to change lives. Good Evening!

Ideas for staying connected during social distancing By Ingrid Waugh, Assistant Rotary Coordinator and Past Governor of Rotary District 9920
D
uring this time of physical separation and social distancing, it is more important than ever to keep our social connections. Rotarians join Rotary to do good in their community. They stay because of the connections they make. Our relationships are important, and we need to strengthen the ones we have and to build new ones. What might this look like in our changed world?
For starters, we can help Rotary stay strong, and even prosper, by working together and taking care of each other – just what Rotary members always do. All of us have had our normal routines disrupted. And when people take a break from these routines for an extended period, they sometimes find other things to fill the gap. That is why it’s vitally important that we keep our members connected and engaged in new ways. With our creativity and innovation, we can even reach out to new people who are looking for something to get them through these strange times. People in our communities are seeking purpose, and an opportunity to contribute. We have resources to help them do that.
Here are some ideas:
Communicate with members through email, social media, virtual meeting tools Make it a two-way conversation by encouraging “user generated content” to your web and social media platforms Convert your meetings to virtual ones. Keep a schedule of dynamic speakers, by adding them to your virtual meetings Hold district-wide meetings virtually Create a challenge that members can take part in, either a project, competition, or activity, which can be done from their homes Share ideas for projects that you can collaborate on together remotely Set up a phone tree of members to keep in contact Create a club buddy system to pair up members and make sure that vulnerable members are supported Inject some fun items into your newsletters and bulletins to lighten the mood and keep people’s minds off the gravity of these times Keep members engaged through Rotary online learning tools such as the Learning Center. You can take part in learning modules and webinars as a group through platforms like Zoom. Review and revise your club’s strategic plan Work together with community partners to identify the most pressing needs. Engage with other community organizations like Meals on Wheels. Volunteer to run errands for those in need, in keeping with whatever restriction your local and regional authorities have in place for staying safe. Check out the COVID-19 page on Rotary.org for more information and resources for taking a leadership role in your community and reaching out to new and potential members during this pandemic. Keep up with what Rotary is doing on Facebook and Twitter at #RotaryResponds.

Empowering Girls Equality is a fundamental human right that's critical in order to have a peaceful, prosperous, and sustainable world. Still, girls and women worldwide face inequities in areas including health and education, and they experience significant violence and disproportionate poverty. Rotary encourages clubs and districts to prioritize projects that improve the health, well-being, education, and economic security of girls in their communities and around the world. Develop a club-based initiative, a district grant, or a global grant that engages members of your community in a project that will protect and empower girls. Work to increase equity by ensuring their access to resources that will improve their lives. Grow Rotary – Each One, Bring One When we grow Rotary by welcoming new members, we can achieve more. This means expanding our service and increasing the impact of our projects, as well as building an awareness and understanding of Rotary in our communities. In 2021-22, we're focused on expanding our reach and enhancing engagement, with a goal of achieving and sustaining a global Rotary club membership of 1.3 million and a Rotaract club membership of 300,000. Each of us was given an extraordinary gift when we were proposed for membership in Rotary. We each have an opportunity to extend that gift to others who can benefit from Rotary and help us increase our impact. If each of us sponsors just one new member between now and 30 June 2022, we'll have no difficulty reaching our goals. Resources Each One, Bring One Talking Points
Rotary Days of Service Hands-on volunteer experiences strengthen our communities. We encourage clubs to offer meaningful volunteer opportunities for families and partner organizations to address challenges in your community that are related to one or more of our areas of focus. Make it easy for community members to see us as people of action, and encourage them to take action with us, regardless of their profession or their affiliation with Rotary. A curated list of United Nations observances can help your club plan service activities around global themes. After your event, share details about it by posting photos and videos to Rotary Showcase and using the tag ServiceDay2021. Resources Rotary Day of Service brochure (PDF)
JULY IS NEW ROTARY LEADERSHIP MONTH Each year Rotary Clubs and Districts across the globe induct new leaders. Our leaders exemplify all of the qualities that make our members extraordinary: integrity, expertise, and commitment to service. July is the start of new Rotary Officers' year of service. Congratulations and all the best to our Life Changing Team!

2ND REGULAR MEETING 21-Jul-21
CLUB HANDOVER / MOA SIGNING 31-Jul-21
For many of us, apart from our families, Rotary is closest to our hearts. After all, it is the greatest Humanitarian Organization of all time. Much as we love and care for the family, Rotary loves and cares for the community. Much as we give and share to every member of the family, creating a loving and enduring relationship, Rotary gives and shares to the community, creating a positive and lasting change. While Rotary Clubs are thriving in Rizal Province, it did not stop us from forming a new club especially when there are still communities that needs to be served. The opportunity to start a new Rotary Club was right in front of us, ours for the taking and definitely was our best option, given the circumstances. Fully determined and equipped with a common purpose, we had our first informational meeting on August 23, 2019 with no less than District Membership Committee headed by Past District Governor (PDG) Luizito “Genlou” C. Ticman and New Club Adviser, Past President (PP) Juan Martin “John” Barredo. We were honored to have not just one but four Sponsor Clubs, who will ensure that Rotary Club of Rizal Premier achieve its great potential through its strong foundation of membership, service and fellowship: RC East Rizal, RC Cainta, RC Lakeshore Rizal and RC Suburban East Rizal, thus making our success rate 4xover. It was on 13 September 2019 when we decided on and came up with our Club Name: ROTARY CLUB OF RIZAL PREMIER … a name that impeccably describes the strength, flexibility and vibrancy of our Club. Starting off with 14 Rotarians, former and existing, we were determined to gain charter strength and was challenged even more. Our gains were verified with a series of Rotary learnings on the Basics of Rotary spearheaded by PP Jeng Liban, under the careful watch of our New Club Adviser, PP John Barredo. 13 September 2019, Fourteen (14) Charter Members 03 October 2019. Twenty-Three (23) Charter Members 23 October 2019. Thirty (30) Charter Members. By 12 November 2019, Charter Documents were submitted to SEAG / NCA John Barredo and was immediately recommended for chartering to District Chair for Membership PDG Louie Ticman, thereafter to District Governor Nelson M. Aspe and eventually was forwarded to Rotary International. 14 November 2019. While we await official chartering of our new club, planning for our very first Humanitarian Service Project ensued, a Medical, Dental and Optical Mission. As Rotary Connects the World, Rotary Club of Rizal Premier have established connections with various stakeholders: Megawide, Hon. Michael John “Jack” Duavit who gladly agreed to be an honorary member, Provincial Government of Rizal, Rizal PNP Provincial Health Office, Barangay Government of Barangay Dolores, Taytay, Rizal, to name a few.
23 November 2019. After a month of preparation and even before our official charter, the first Humanitarian Service Project of Rotary Club of Rizal Premier came to reality. A Medical / Dental / Optical Mission for at least 400 beneficiaries of McDonald’s Village, Brgy. Dolores, Taytay, Rizal. With the generous support, financial and otherwise, of our valuable Humanitarian Service Project partners: MEGAWIDE Foundation, Hon. Rebecca A. Ynares, Hon. Micahel John R. Duavit, Rizal PNP. Barangay Dolores, Taytay, Rizal, Hon. Allan Martine S. De Leon, Hon. Kaloy Dabalos, Dr. Battag, CP Monaliza / PP Jun Cabitac, Treasurer Concepcion R. Viray and Rtn. Roy Dela Cruz 04 December 2019. Chartering of Rotary Club of Rizal have yet to become official and as we await, our passion to serve continues as we conduct our very first Club Strategic Planning.
And it happened. By 07 January 2020, Rotary Club of Rizal Premier is now officially a Charter Club of Rotary International under District 3800 with Club ID No. 90676 and with 30 Charter Members. We now have a clear vision of our purpose. And now begins a series of many firsts: 1st Board of Directors Meeting, 10 January 2020. We proudly presented the result of our Club Strategic Planning to Assistant Governor Melbert B. Reyes. 1st District Activity, 11 January 2020. We were warmly welcomed by DG Nelson M. Aspe @ the 3rd Breakfast Meeting of Champion Presidents and recognized as District 3800’s, 101st Rotary Club. 1st Regular Meeting, 15 January 2020. We had as special guest, District Chair for Annual Fund Giving, CP Manny Reyes who shared his knowledge on the value of giving to the Rotary Foundation and assured him of our efforts to become an EREY and Sustaining club, with all members giving to the Rotary Foundation and with CP Monaliza B. Cabitac, PP Fernando R. Cabitac, Jr. and Dir. Geraldine R. Marte becoming Paul Harris Fellows. 1st District Activity, 18 January 2020. Proudly, Rotary Club of Rizal Premier was presented in a ceremony befitting of a New Club. Many thanks to PP Armi Delas Alas Quibael, District Chair for 3rd Mass Induction. Fourteen (14) Charter Members were inducted by no less than DG Nelson M. Aspe and witnessed by District Chairman for Membership, PDG Louie Ticman, District Vice-Chairman for Membership, PP Ruby Reyes and District for Membership Extension, PP Jess Tan, other District Officers and Champion Presidents. 1st Rotary Award, 27 – 28 February 2020. Golf Enthusiasts SAA Pedro “Ading Zapanta, Low Net Champion and PP Fernando “Jun” Cabitac Champion – Group 2, in the 8th Philippine Rotary Open sponsored by the Philippine Rotary Friendship and Golfing Fellowship (PRFGF), an annual two-day golf tournament with 10 Rotary Districts of the Philippines. Privileged and honored many times over, Rotary Club of Rizal Premier had its much awaited Charter Presentation, 04 March 2020, days prior to lockdown due to COVID-19 pandemic. The COVID-19 pandemic may have limited our movements but this did not stop us from doing what we all love to do: of answering the call to serve and to serve above self; and of Doing Good in the World. We have responded accordingly and our Being a Rotarian, now more than ever, is given more meaning and fulfillment.

EXPLORE OUR CAUSES https://www.rotary.org/en/our-causes Promoting peace Today, over 70 million people are displaced as a result of conflict, violence, persecution, and human rights violations. Half of them are children.
Rotary creates environments where peace can happen.
Fighting disease We educate and equip communities to stop the spread of lifethreatening diseases like polio, HIV/AIDS, and malaria. We improve and expand access to lowcost and free health care in developing areas.
Providing clean water, sanitation, and hygiene We support local solutions to bring clean water, sanitation, and hygiene to more people every day. We don’t just build wells and walk away. We share our expertise with community leaders and educators to make sure our projects succeed long-term.
Supporting education More than 775 million people over the age of 15 are illiterate. Our goal is to strengthen the capacity of communities to support basic education and literacy, reduce gender disparity in education, and increase adult literacy.
Protecting the Environment Rotary members are tackling environmental issues the way they always do: coming up with projects, using their connections to change policy and planning for the future.
Saving mothers and children Nearly 6 million children under the age of five die each year because of malnutrition, poor health care, and inadequate sanitation. We expand access to quality care, so mothers and their children can live and grow stronger.
Growing local economies We carry out service projects that enhance economic and community development and create opportunities for decent and productive work for young and old. We also strengthen local entrepreneurs and community leaders, particularly women, in impoverished

For as little as 60 cents, a child can be protected from polio. $50 can provide clean water to help fight waterborne illness. $500 can launch an antibullying campaign and create a safe environment for children.
Give where the need is greatest When you give to The Rotary Foundation, you fuel our service projects - projects that eradicate polio, promote peace, and improve developing communities.
