CHRISTMAS GREETINGS Dear Members, As the evenings draw in many of you will be looking to your seasonal plans and it is therefore with great pleasure that I attach the Club’s Christmas programme for your perusal. Christmas at the Royal Irish Yacht Club offers the perfect occasion to celebrate the year gone by with families, friends and fellow crew in the unique setting of our Club. Whether you are a long-standing member of the Club or a new member; a Royal Irish Christmas is a very special experience reflecting its many great traditions and camaraderie. This festive brochure outlines a calendar designed to honour the spirit of the Christmas season and reflects the great traditions, such as Christmas Carols with the Ryan family, Santa Claus, lavish buffet lunches and late New Year’s Eve lunch, that make for a truly enjoyable Royal Irish Christmas.

CHRISTMAS CAROL EVENING

An evening of Carols for all the family with the Ryan Family Singers followed by optional Supper in the Dining Room.

SANTA EXPERIENCE

Bring the little ones to see Santa. A 2-hour extravaganza, children's entertainer, write Santa a letter and delight in the sweets and drinks prior to visiting Santa in his RIYC Grotto.

Arrival drinks and a sumptuous lunch at 4pm. Non-Dining Members and their guests will be welcome to have a drink in the Members Bar before moving to the Terrace to watch the fireworks display.

OUR MOST POPULAR EVENT OF THE SEASON!

EAT, DRINK & BE MERRY Start the afternoon in the Dining Room or Drawing Room where starters will be served to the table and then continue your afternoon with our famous hot and cold Christmas buffet served from the foyer. Topped off with your choice of delicious dessert! Dining Room tables are not available to be reserved in advance. All allocations will be on a first-paid, first allocated basis. Tables of more than 12 will be split between tables.

RIYC NEW YEARS EVE LATE LUNCH THURSDAY 31ST DECEMBER 15.30Hrs for 16.00Hrs Start the Celebrations with a welcome drink followed by a delicious 3 course meal in the Dining Room/Drawing Room. Non-Dining Members and their guests will be welcome to have a drink in the Members Bar before moving to the Terrace to watch the fireworks. The Display is currently scheduled for 18.30-19.30Hrs. The Club will close by 20.30Hrs.

CLUBHOUSE CHRISTMAS OPENING HOURS December 23rd: The Boathouse will close at 13.00Hrs. December 24th, 25th, 26th & 27th: The Club will be closed completely. December 28th, 29th, & 30th: The Bar will be open from 12.00 – 18.00Hrs. No food service during this time.

December 31st: The Members Bar will be open Non-Dining Guests. January 1st: The Club will be closed completely. January 2nd & 3rd: The Bar will be open from 12.00 – 18.00Hrs. No food service during this time. January 4th: The Club reopens as normal Monday hours. Food Service will resume on Tuesday 5th January.
