Our generous transfer credit policy allows for up to 90 credits in transfer for a bachelor’s degree and up to 45 credits for an associate degree. SCHOLARSHIPS & GRANTS

GLOBAL PERSPECTIVES Italy. Australia. Spain. Ireland. They’re not as far away as you think. Global engagement and study abroad opportunities offer a lifechanging experience. • Immersion experiences, semester abroad, and summer programs in China and Canada. • Field experience teaching trips are led by faculty and offered throughout the year for academic credit—including the U.S. Virgin Islands, Costa Rica, Haiti, Senegal, Europe, and Germany. • Gain firsthand, real-world experience, whether it is studying coral reefs or testing water samples and educating locals about safe drinking water. Experiential teaching trips allow students to learn by doing and practice their skills outside the classroom in a real-world setting.
STUDENT ADVISING Academic and Career Advisors understand the unique needs of a transfer student. Rivier’s advisors meet with transfer students one-onone to assist with course registration. Once a transfer student has deposited for fall or spring:
• The student will be assisted in developing an academic plan for degree completion and registering for the coming semester.
• All transfer students attend a half-day orientation
session prior to the semester start. These sessions are designed to give students the information needed to ensure a seamless transition to Rivier.
STUDENT CAMPUS LIFE Rivier University provides tremendous opportunities for engagement both on and off campus. Whether cheering on our Division III athletic teams, attending campus cultural events, hiking in the White Mountains, participating in student government, joining a club, or just tossing a frisbee around the Quad, there’s always something interesting and exciting happening. Students are highly encouraged to become active members of our community.

Raider student-athletes contribute to our vibrant campus community on many levels. To participate as a Riv Raider on one of our NCAA Division III teams is to strive for excellence in every sense of the word, both on and off the field—and our student-athletes are given every opportunity to develop their personal best and succeed. Rivier’s thirteen intercollegiate teams—six men’s and seven women’s—compete as Division III members of the National Collegiate Athletic Association (NCAA) and the Great Northeast Athletic Conference (GNAC).

TRANSFER CRITERIA At Rivier, transfer students are evaluated on the overall strength of their academic record, career goals, and life experiences. Entrance to the nursing program has additional requirements that are more rigorous. Assessment of potential transfer students focuses mainly on college work already completed by the student at accredited colleges and universities. If you have completed less than 12 credits at the college level, your high school transcript will be evaluated as part of the process. We also take into consideration your academic and career goals, life experiences, extracurricular activities, and employment. ARTICULATION AGREEMENTS
We make transferring from a community college easy. Rivier has many articulation agreements with several community colleges, allowing students to begin or earn a degree at the community college and complete their undergraduate education at Rivier. ABOUT FINANCIAL AID Rivier has scholarships available just for transfer students, such as the Transfer Merit Scholarship, with awards up to $15,000. Apply for financial aid as early as October 1 by completing the Free Application for Federal Student Aid (FAFSA), located online at fafsa.ed.gov.
List Rivier’s Title IV Code (002586) on the FAFSA or FAFSA Renewal Form. Rivier must be listed in order for the Department of Education to release information from the FAFSA to the University.
