Have you ever tried a “trust fall” with a friend or someone in your family? A trust fall is a trust-building game where one person purposefully falls backward while not looking, relying on someone else to catch them. It can be a little scary at first if you are the person falling! You have to TRUST that the person standing behind you will catch you. If they don’t, you’ll end up falling flat on your back – ouch! As a Christian, we put our hope and trust in God. By trusting in God, we are saying that He is in control and that He will work everything out for our good. Is that always easy? No, but the more we do it, the easier it gets. Sometimes in life people can let us down. Maybe you’ve had a friend who lied to you or wasn’t there when you needed him. Sometimes that happens. But the amazing thing about God is that He will always be there for us. We can trust that God’s word is true and that His plans for us are amazing! “Red Rocky Ridge: Discovering Old Testament Heroes of the Faith” is a closer look at regular people (like you and me) who made a decision to TRUST in God and follow Him no matter what. They are heroes of the faith because of their trust in Him. Get ready to learn more about the “I” in PILOT as we discover what it means to “give God my best because He can be trusted.”

GO VERSE THIS SCRIPTURE IS OUR THEME VERSE AS WE VENTURE THROUGH RED ROCKY RIDGE! “The Lord is my light and my salvation – so why should I be afraid? The Lord is my fortress, protecting me from danger, so why should I tremble?” Psalm 27:1, NLT
