2-3 HOURS Take your pick between two or three of our city’s signature foodie experiences and take your tastebuds on a sample sized regional tasting tour right here in Wagga Wagga. Learn the beer brewing process at Thirsty Crow Brewing Co. and pick your own produce at Bidgee Strawberries and Cream or Wollundry Grove Olives. Only have an hour on your hands? Head to The Wagga Shop and experience all the local produce the region has to offer under one roof.

AM TO PM Start the day right and sample award-winning beans at Trail Street, where everything from the beans to the milk is produced locally. Once your coffee needs are sorted, get hands on with a cooking class at Food I Am or learn the forgotten art of weaving at Ashculme Textiles. Come afternoon, spin the bottle and head for the cellar door at Borambola Wines or Charles Sturt Winery. As night approaches, enjoy a degustation dining experience at one of our region’s finest restaurants, such as Pastorale by Meccanico, The Charles Dining Room or Magpies Nest. DAY TRIP Wander further and enjoy some amazing agritourism experiences in our beautiful surrounds. Junee is a short half-hour drive north of Wagga Wagga and is home to the famous Junee Licorice and Chocolate Factory. Stop over at Coolamon and enjoy handmade local cheese at Coolamon Cheese Co. An hour and a half is all it takes to climb into the Snowy Valleys. Be sure to visit Tumut River Brewing Co for local ale paired with homemade pizza. Skip over to Pretty Parrot Distilling or Ladbroken Distilling Co., where their signature gins will have you leaving in good spirits.

Wander + Wonder
2-3 HOURS Stroll or cycle sections of the Wiradjuri Trail, a 42-kilometre loop that extends across many of our city’s significant attractions. Pick your point of entry or start at the heart of the city which will take you along the Murrumbidgee River to Riverside: Wagga Wagga Beach, named #9 best beach in Australia 2020. Admire the water views, enjoy a picnic or go for a quick dip. AM TO PM A full day in Wagga Wagga is a good time frame to see our city on two wheels, paddle down the Murrumbidgee River or take a stroll through one of our many great gardens. Bring your own bike or hire one from Kidson Cycles and take in the city sights at a relaxing pace. Start in the CBD and follow the Murrumbidgee River – you’ll pass by Riverside: Wagga Beach, laneway murals, then on to Marrambidya Wetland. Looking to up the adventure ante? Tackle the fun, free-flowing 13km mountain bike course at Pomingalarna Reserve and take in the city views from the top. Slow the pace down with a leisurely walk through one of our city’s amazing parks and gardens. Erin Earth demonstrates sustainable living while the Wagga Wagga Botanic Gardens is a must-see with 22-acres of themed gardens, a zoo and aviary and a miniature railway. Tours. The Beginners Guided Sunset Kayak Tour is a pleasant introduction to kayaking, requiring no prior experience. Rather paddle to the beat of your own drum? Kayak hire is also available by the hour and per day. DAY TRIP Wander further and get the full Wagga Wagga + Surrounds nature experience. Immerse yourself in the spectacular landscape in our region’s national parks – reach new heights in the Kosciuszko National Park, trek to the top of The Rock Nature Reserve – Kengal Aboriginal Place or go bushwalking, mountain biking or four-wheel driving in Livingstone National Park. Head to nearby Narrandera to spot sleepy koalas or combine fresh mountain air and scenic rural landscapes with the 22-kilometre (one-way) Tumbarumba to Rosewood Rail Trail.

2-3 HOURS If you only have a few hours to spare, you could take a leisurely stroll and enjoy a dose of fresh, regional air. Reconnect with country along the Wiradjuri Trail, enjoy a wander around the ponds at Marrambidya Wetland or see pelicans while walking the loop track at Lake Albert.
