DIABETES TIPS The holiday season is just around the corner! Schedules may soon be filled with travel, parties, big meals, and snack foods that can make managing your diabetes a little more challenging. You have worked hard to manage your diabetes throughout the year, so don’t let this holiday season throw you off track. With proper planning, goal setting, and scheduled exercise, maintaining a healthy lifestyle is possible! Remember these five helpful tips for conquering the holiday season: (1) Stick to your plan; (2) Stay active; (3) Practice portion control; (4) Get enough sleep; and (5) Continue to monitor blood sugar levels. If you need help setting your goals, or would like more information on diabetes management, register or attend an upcoming class.
