WELCOME Over the past 14 years, Riverbanks ZOOfari has emerged as the signature fundraiser for Riverbanks Zoo and Garden. Thanks to your support, this event helps fulfill our goals of providing the highest quality care for the plants and animals, diverse educational and recreational experiences for our guests, and vital resources for conservation efforts both in the Midlands and abroad. Thanks to the generous bond issue recently approved by Richland and Lexington County Councils, Riverbanks is preparing to embark on a major expansion effort where members and guests can look forward to fantastic underwater views of sea lions and seals as they swim and dive, the playful antics of grizzly bears as otters frolic in the foreground, delighted children exploring tree houses and splashing about in a water-play area of the new Children's Garden, plus more up-close animal encounters in the Zoo and a larger main entrance to better accommodate members and guests.

While this exciting new future for your Zoo unfolds, we hope you enjoy this evening's epicurean expedition where you will also have the chance to encounter some amazing animals and special presentations along the way. As always, the highlight of the night will be the dynamic silent and live auctions offering rare and unusual items you just can't find anywhere else, including an opportunity to explore Africa Riverbanks-style, a private zip line tour with dinner overlooking the Saluda River, breakfast with the gorillas, and much more!

So, take a stroll, savor your surroundings… sample the cuisine and sip a cool cocktail… explore the grizzly bear barn or get up close to a Galapagos tortoise. And don't forget to bid on some of those “wild” items on the auction block to show your support for the animals at Riverbanks.
