BRING YOUR CLASS TO RIVERBANK, OR HOST RIVERBANK AT YOUR SCHOOL!
Riverbank Arts Centre works closely with Irish and international theatre companies, artists and coproducing partners, to present work particularly suited to schools. We are happy to welcome 6000 pupils to our venue each year for performances, screenings, gallery tours and workshops.
We offer tours of our exhibitions for primary and post-primary students, and engagement materials for all ages. This Autumn, we are offering Primary School gallery tours for A Way Home – An Slí Abhaile (p 9) and FIBRE Felted by Tamzen Lundy (p 29) For post primary we are offering TY & LC gallery visits for Fathom (p 8) and Dētrīmentum (p30). Gallery tours are free - booking essential.
This season for primary schools we are presenting four different events offsite - at your school - Anna Newell’s Sweet Dreams are Made of This (taking place at St Anne’s, The Curragh); Fizz&Chips brand new show Never Mind The Weather performed in school playgrounds (Infants 2nd Class); UpClose - an outdoor dance performance & workshop (1st-4th Class) and a Felting Workshop in your classroom with artist Tamzen Lundy (1st-6th Class).

Never Mind The Weather is a fun, engaging show about the weather and so much more. Told primarily through the use of dance and movement, the audience learns the story of two very different characters: Cyrus and Drip. Through a day in their life, we see what kind of antics they get up to, but also what lessons they learn from each other. The show is about relationships and friendship. Despite the differences between these two characters, in the end they can still find common ground.
Never Mind The Weather is a dynamic, original production for younger children (5-8 years) which travels to your school - it is an outdoor show to be performed in school playgrounds.
FIZZ&CHIPS is a young theatre company with a particular interest in creating innovative, inclusive work for young audiences. Never Mind The Weather is commissioned by Riverbank Arts Centre, supported by a Commission Award from The Arts Council.
