120 hours is an independent competition organized on a non-profit, voluntary basis without the involvement of a school administration. 120 aims to give students a voice in the current architectural discourse.

Mankind with a greedy mind; Take over nature creating mines. The forest runs dry, the chirping birds die; All that’s left to see is a concrete lie.

The future seems dusty & pale; But a bubble of light shines bright and frail. The icy blues, the windy sands, The green rolling hills, captured in a can.
I opened my curtains to see the vast city before me. I hoped to see a world full of life and dreams but only I can are life- less buildings and the smoked filled air. Our forests have all been lost now, the only jungle we see now is of concrete. The times of chirping birds and clear blue skies are long gone and all that’s left is darkness and despair. I do hope a future of brightness awaits. A future different from this dystopian life.
I opened my curtains today, hoping to see the same dreadful view. But today was dif- ferent. The views that greeted me were of forests, glaciers, and deserts. Massive spheres of natural beauty filled the skies. Thriving flora and fauna filled these spheres. It seems my wishes have been answered. Finally, we have taken a step to move from a dystopia to a utopia.
