Our Mission

​ his week is all about learning beyond the classroom. Week Without Walls T is an opportunity to live our school’s vision and mission in action: building relationships, striving for excellence, and pursuing our aspirations to make a difference in the world.

*In the MYP, this connects directly to Service as Action – using your skills, creativity, and understanding to serve others and the community. You’ll be challenged to reflect on your strengths, take action on real issues, and see how your learning can make a difference in people’s lives.

*In the DP, it links to CAS – Creativity, Activity, Service – which is about becoming balanced, reflective, and principled young adults who give back, take risks, and grow personally through new experiences

How do I sign 1. Log onto Schools buddy before November 27th and up for these sign up for your choice of activity.

2. You will receive a confirmation email once the trips? registration closes on Dec. 6th.

3. Pay (payment links will be sent through email at a later date)

Once you choose your activity you CANNOT CHANGE to a different one, so please take your time to discuss options and be sure of your choice.

International Trips Students in Grade 7-11 have had the chance to sign up for an overseas learning experience. These will provide students with opportunities to develop beyond the classroom, particularly in Service Learning that is meaningful, sustained and reflective. These trips nurture ATL skills such as communication, collaboration, critical thinking and reflective development.

Option 1: Local Overnight Trips Choose from the following local trips on offer.

RELATIONSHIPS

Grade 7-8 (12+) a. 2 night, 3 day experience to Hudariyat Island, Abu Dhabi. b. Land and water based activities while building friendships within their grades.

Grade 9-11 a. 3 night 4 day experience to Al Ain Adventure Camp. b. SetJebel Hafeet, this fully supervised experience blends outdoor skills, water fun, and creativity

Option 2: Learning Unlocked Weeklong activities are intensive immersion into a topic of your choice.

There will be a fee for these trips as they involve field trips off campus to support the learning. (80-500aed depending on option)

Choose 1 of the following 5 week long activities: (click here for detailed descriptions). Friday will be a day to present their tasks as part of Service as Action.

1. Go MADD in Abu Dhabi (G6-11) (includes trip to Al Qasr cultural area)​ 2. Culture: A Nation’s Greatest Currency? Grade 9-11 (includes field trip to Zayed National Museum)​ 3. Think Global, Act Local: Eco-Action Week (G8-11) (includes trip to The Farm, Ecyclics, Seaworld, )​ 4. Paws for a Cause: Pawsitive Action Week (G6-11) (includes trip to a local Vet, Emirates Zoo)​ 5. Escape Room Challenge: (includes a trip to Escape room)​

Option 3&4: Rotation Expedition There will be a fee for option 3 as it involves field trips off campus to support the learning. (80-500aed)

Learning will take place outside the classrooms through creativity, exploration, and collaboration. ​ Click here for more detailed descriptions

1. Option 3 - “The Rotation Expedition (combination on/off campus)”, students will attend challenges put on by departments. Friday will be a day of presenting their completed task as part of Service as Action. ​ 1. Option 4. “The Rotation Expedition” (on campus only -zero cost) **If you choose to not participate in the field trips - all activities will be on campus and may be repeated**.
