Althoughtheresultwasdisappointing,lastweek’s performanceagainstaMarstonsidethatnowlead thedivisionwasencouraging.Youngerplayers comingintothesidecontinuetoshowtheprogress theyaremakinginadaptingtoadultfootball.In heavyconditionsthatsappedenergyandmade passingdifficult,wemanagedtoputMarstonunder somepressureandledforoveranhour.Thedifficult conditionscontributedtounfortunatemistakesthat allowedMarstontotaketheleadbuttheladsstill managedtocreatesomegoodchancestoget somethingfromthegame.

Inthe2002–03season,FlitwickTown achievednotablesuccessby clinchingtheDivisionOnetitleinthe BedfordshireCountyFootballLeague. Thisaccomplishmentmarkeda significantmilestoneintheclub’s development,showcasingtheir competitivespiritanddedicationto excellence.
Theclub’scommitmenttogrowthand communityengagementwasfurther exemplifiedinthe2009–10season whenFlitwickTownsecuredthe DivisionTwochampionship.This victoryunderscoredtheteam’s resilienceandabilitytoexcelacross differenttiersoftheleague.
Apinnacleoftheclub’sachievements cameinthe2016–17seasonwhen FlitwickTownwascrownedthe PremierDivisionchampionsofthe BedfordshireCountyFootballLeague. Thistriumphhighlightedtheclub’s progressionandestablishedtheir statuswithinthelocalfootball hierarchy.

The2018/19seasonmarkedRiseleySports’returntotheBedfordshireCounty LeaguePremierDivision,bringingbothchallengesandmemorablemoments. ManagerNigelReesstrengthenedhisbackroomstaffbybringinginPaulKane asassistantmanager,aimingtoguidetheteamthroughthestepupin competition.
Thecampaignbeganinthrillingfashionwitha4-4drawatStevington,followed byasolid3-0winoverSharnbrook.However,therealityofPremierDivision footballsoonsetin,withsometoughresultsagainstestablishedsides.Despite this,Riseleyshowedtheirresilience,pickingupkeywinsagainstAFCOakley, Ickwell&OldWarden,andQueensParkCrescents.
LEGACIES
.Astrongruninearly2019,includinga5-1victoryoverIckwell,gavetheteam momentumheadingintothefinalstretch.Althoughconsistencyproveda challenge,thesquaddidenoughtosecurearespectable8th-placefinishinthe leaguetable.
