OSRAM replacement LED bulbs get a facelift!

LED lighting in cars is refreshing, attractive, on trend and has an appealing contemporary touch. Thanks to replacement LED bulbs from OSRAM, everyone can design a personal lighting atmosphere in their own vehicle. Upgrade to LED and dark leather seats will appear in a new light and footwells and boot compartments can be washed with cool or warm LED light.

This lighting season OSRAM are relaunching their range of LED retrofit bulbs: LEDriving® SL and LEDriving® PREMIUM SL. A new design of the bulb itself has been developed as well as enhancements to the packaging – helping users to identify the bulbs and see the difference between a standard bulb and an LED upgrade.

So what sets OSRAM replacement LEDs apart from the competition?

Quality – Thermal Management is one of the most critical design considerations to the life and performance of an LED retrofit bulb. OSRAM utilize a more costly heat sink to allow conduction to keep heat away from the LEDs. All products are rigorously tested in real world conditions in order to guarantee long lifetimes and to exclude the shift of colour or brightness appreciably.

Performance – The brightness of the actual LED chip as well as proprietary design methods are refined so that light output from the bulb/reflector combination mimics the original beam pattern as close as practically possible. Especially for the Premium Line photometric measurements have proven superior levels of performance.

Perfect Fit – All key dimensions meet the specifications for a standard signal bulb. Diameter, base dimensions, LED locations and optics are just a few of the key dimensions tightly designed and controlled in the manufacturing process.

OSRAM can now offer an upgrade LED bulb that combines a stylish look with a cool white light colour and improved performance. This LED upgrade solution replaces conventional H7, H11 and HB4 ECE equivalent bulb types.

With a cool white colour temperature of 6,000K (Kelvin) they come very close to the light colour of natural daylight. Thanks to their high brightness values, they enable drivers to see further and react earlier to signs, obstacles or hazards. What’s more, the LEDriving® HL bulbs have a wider and longer beam angle and optimized light distribution which prevents oncoming vehicles from being dazzled. Quick and easy upgrade for the Volkswagen Golf MKVI! The Volkswagen Golf is still one of the UK’s best selling cars. The VW Golf Mark VI was first introduced in Europe in 2008 with production continuing until 2013 when it was superseded by the Mark VII.
