The Isle of Love is a 5-star “gig-theatre” production created by Euan Martin and Dave Smith, Right Lines, and Adam Ross, musician, lyricist and front man with eight piece indie-pop band Randolph’s Leap.

The Isle of Love is a bittersweet tale of love, loss, recovery and discovery infused with the quirky lyrical genius of Adam Ross’ music.

Inspired by the success of their first writing collaboration, The Accidental Death of an Accordionist, which was commissioned by The Highland Festival and toured the Highlands & Islands in 2001 and 2002, Euan Martin and Dave Smith formed Right Lines Productions as a vehicle for their new work. The company has gone on to write, produce and tour numerous shows, including seven Creative Scotland supported projects which have visited theatres, community spaces and village halls the length and breadth of Scotland.

Right Lines produces work that varies in scale and style, from solo shows to full-length musicals; from traditional proscenium arch theatre productions to site-specific immersive, interactive comedies. The company prides itself on presenting “local stories, told locally” while still being issue-based and filled with familiar, universal themes.

sic -Ad The Accidental Death of an am Ros s Accordionsist had an extended run at the Edinburgh Fringe in 2008 and following a very successful Scottish tour in 2010, Whisky Kisses was selected as the flagship production of Pitlochry Festival Theatre’s 2014 summer season. As a result of an inspired collaboration with SEPA on interactive comedy Rapid Departure, Right Lines won the Arts & Business Innovation Award in 2017.

With fifteen original productions funded and presented, plus many more projects awaiting production, Right Lines in one of the most prolific theatre companies based in the North of Scotland. The collaboration with Adam Ross from Randolph’s Leap on The Isle of Love in 2018 resulted in one of the best received productions in the company’s history, with the most positive, enthusiastic audience response enjoyed to date.
